Ball High School students sick after eating pot brownies

GALVESTON, Texas — At least five Ball High School students were sickened Thursday after eating brownies laced with marijuana they purchased from another student, school district police said.

Three of the students were sent to the hospital, LeeRoy Amador, police chief of Galveston public school district, said. Information on their conditions was not available.

The student accused of selling the brownies for $4 each was charged with four counts of assault causing bodily injury, Amador said. The student, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, was accused of selling at least 10 brownies.

Police became suspicious when a student showed up in the school’s clinic about 1:30 p.m. complaining of dizziness, rapid heartbeat and symptoms similar to those accompanying a panic attack. When authorities questioned the boy, he told them he’d eaten a brownie another student gave him, Amador said. Four other students later arrived at the clinic complaining of the same symptoms.

They all said they had purchased brownies from the same student, Amador said.

I got really sick off of pot brownies once. Of course, I had to eat about 14 of those bad boys to get sick.

Anytime I tried to make them they taste like ass and I didn't really get high. Waste of weed.

That's for damn sure. Although my friend's mother had an excellent recipe for stuffing that involved about an ounce of weed, and it was deliciously intoxicating. We had a happy Thanksgiving for sure that year!

Heh... WAY back in the day, when my man and I hooked up, he, *ahem*, kept a lot of pot on hand. He decided to make brownies and didn't really know how, so he made those cheesecake swirl brownies and just added ground weed directly to the cheesecake part.

They came out looking like St. Patty's Day brownies, the swirl part was so green. They tasted awful and were so dry, you had to drink an entire glass of milk just to get it down. They got you all sorts of fucked up, though. Well, hell - there was roughly the equivalent of a dime sack in each brownie.

I'm proud to report, however, that Mike has become a much better baker and much less of a pothead since that endeavor. :P

Um, sure those were laced with pot, son? Sounds like an upper, to me...

Because you have lots of time to eat them before you feel anything, you tend to get pretty loaded. I forgot what i wanted to say.

Fucking WOW! Prices sure have gone up! Must be inflation or else I was really getting a deal or I was buying Oregano.

Only time I ever had those brownies was when I wouldn't have noticed the effect anyway.

Well not to sound like a dealer but I do know, kinda, the prices. Athena was right, that is high. You could get an ounce of ok stuff for like $225, but yeah, prices have gone way up.

I'm really not that old, but last time I discussed such a purchase things were $40 and I thought that was getting to be too much. Nowadays if I find it around it is usually free.
