A Bullitt County woman is behind bars charged with an unthinkable crime. She allegedly chained-up her children throughout her home.

One of those children is thought to be mentally disabled. Cops in Hillview say a mother used plastic ties, that mechanics and police use, to subdue her children.

The call came into Hillview police Saturday; a tale of strange parenting. Police found the 12-year-old girl at a neighbor’s home she fled to after escaping. Police arrested the mother, 31-year-old Barbara Hancock.

Hancock’s arrest was not a complete surprise to her neighbors who say they never saw abuse but often heard yelling and obscenities coming from the house.

Hancock is being held on $50,000 dollars charged with two counts of criminal abuse. The children are under the care of child protective services.

This is barbaric. What a bitch. She's lucky nothing else happened to the kids, like a fire, as in the case of Calista Springer. Being tied / restrained absolutely terrifies me...I can't imagine a parent doing that. But she'll get a good dose of that in the can I guess....KARMA
