BULLHEAD CITY -- Bullhead City Police arrested the parents of a 9-year-old girl on several child abuse related charges.

On Sunday, January 11th, 2009, a family member reported the suspected abuse to law enforcement.

After further investigation, police discovered that while the family lived in Bullhead City between December 2007 and February 2008, the victim (then 8 years old) was severely beaten and abused by her step-father, 25-year-old Juan Manuel Corral Jr.

On several occasions during this time “as a form of discipline”, the girl was dragged to the bathroom by her hair and forced to take cold showers for up to one hour, was forced to remove her clothing and eat her dinner on the floor “like a dog” and made to urinate and defecate on the floor “like a dog.”

During a week in January, 2008, Corral Jr punched and slapped the victim in the head and punched her in the stomach numerous times. The victim was so severely beaten, she missed an entire week of school because her body was badly bruised. Corral Jr also inappropriately touched her as another form of “discipline.” The victim’s mother, 32-year-old Dawn M. Corral stood by and watched the abuse and did nothing to protect her daughter.

Police believe the abuse continued when the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona in February, 2008. The case will be forwarded to the Phoenix Police Department for follow up.

Bullhead City Police arrested the victim’s parents yesterday, January 14th in Bullhead City, where the family now resides.

Juan Corral Jr was arrested for sexual contact with a minor, sexual molestation of a minor, endangerment per domestic violence and aggravated assault per domestic violence. Dawn Corral was arrested for child abuse per domestic violence, endangerment per domestic violence and aggravated assault per domestic violence. The suspects were booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

Just when I think I've heard it all...

I hope this poor child gets the help she's going to need to help heal the emotional scars that will be with her for life. I hope she learns to trust again, and can be loved the way she deserves to be loved.

KINGMAN - A Bullhead City man already charged with the alleged abuse of his wife's 9-year-old daughter, was indicted Thursday on a new charge of damaging the county jail.

Juan Manuel Corral Jr., 25, was indicted by the Mohave County grand jury for destruction of a jail. He is expected to be arraigned on the new charge Feb. 27 before Judge Superior Court Judge Rick Williams. Corral was arrested Jan. 17 after he allegedly broke a fire sprinkler head while inside his jail cell.

Corral also is charged with sexual conduct with a minor and child abuse by domestic violence. His wife, Dawn M. Corral, 32, is charged with child abuse by domestic violence. The couple is charged with the alleged abuse and assault of Dawn Corral's daughter from December 2007 to February 2008.

Corral faces 13 to 27 years in prison if he is convicted of the sexual conduct charge. He and his wife also could be sentenced to up to 24 years in prison if they are convicted of the child abuse charge. Prosecutors are filing the enhancement that the charges are dangerous crimes against children, where, if proven, neither defendant would be eligible for probation.

Juan Corral is being held in county jail on a $250,000 bond as well as a hold by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, while his wife is being held on a $5,000 bond.

On Jan. 11, Bullhead City police officers were contacted of the suspected abuse of the girl. The couple allegedly dragged the girl by her hair to the bathroom and forced to take cold showers for up to an hour, forced her to remove her clothing, eat her dinner on the floor and forced her to urinate and defecate on the floor like a dog, according to police.

Juan Corral also allegedly punched and slapped the girl in the head and stomach numerous times during a week in January 2008. The girl was so badly beaten and bruised she missed a week of school to hide the bruises. Corral also allegedly touched his stepdaughter inappropriately as a form of punishment.

Dawn Corral is charged for allegedly not stopping the abuses. Bullhead City police detectives believe the abuse continued when the family briefly moved to Phoenix in February 2008 before moving back to Bullhead City. The couple was arrested Jan. 14. The case was also forwarded to the Phoenix Police Department.

KINGMAN - A Mohave County Superior Court judge lowered the bond Thursday for a Bullhead City man charged with abuse of his wife's 9-year-old daughter.

Juan Manuel Corral Jr., 25, is charged with sexual conduct with a minor and child abuse by domestic violence. His wife, Dawn M. Corral, 32, is also charged with child abuse by domestic violence. The couple is charged with the alleged abuse and assault of Dawn Corral's daughter from December 2007 to February 2008.

Corral's defense attorney, Tammy Dusharm, asked to lower her client's $250,000 bond, calling the bond excessive.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Victoria Stazio admitted the bond would probably be lowered but with the seriousness of the charges the prosecutor said a high bond is appropriate. She also said the evidence against Juan Corral was substantial.

Judge Rick Williams reluctantly lowered Juan Corral's bond to $150,000. Williams also set Corral's next hearing for March 19. The judge also continued Corral's arraignment in his new case to the same date. Corral is also charged with destruction of a jail after he allegedly broke a fire sprinkler head while inside his jail cell.

Dawn Corral is being held on a $5,000 bond. She was also in court Thursday with her attorney, Robin Puchek, hinting he may also file a motion to lower her bond but admitted the bond was already low to begin with. The possibility also exists her bond may be increased. Her next hearing was set for March 27.

Where is their maternal instinct to protect their child? That was her fucking 8yr old DAUGHTER. Even rats protect and defend their young!

Dawn M. Corral, 33, had been charged with child abuse by domestic violence. She recently pleaded guilty to that charge. Under the plea agreement, she was sentenced to probation and 42 days in county jail - time she already served. Dawn and Juan Manuel Corral Jr. had been charged with the abuse of her then 9-year-old daughter in early 2008.

Deputy Mohave County Attorney Victoria Stazio said Corral's agreement to testify against her husband was a turning point in the case. The plea agreement was not a reflection on the defendant's culpability but that she was a tool against her husband.

The victim disclosed information on the more horrific abuses in Maricopa County but Dawn Corral disclosed information on the abuses in Mohave County. The door still remains open to Maricopa County filing charges against the Corrals, Stazio said.

The prosecutor had two choices. Trying Dawn Corral and probably getting no more than a three-year prison sentence and having the possibility of Juan Corral being acquitted or using Dawn Corral's testimony and assuring a prison sentence for her husband.

Superior Court Judge Rick Williams reluctantly accepted the plea agreement, saying morally the plea was not appropriate but understood the prosecutor's motives. The judge said he would not go home that night feeling good about the plea agreement and warned Corral not to come back before him by violating her probation.

Juan Corral Jr., 26, had also been charged with sexual conduct with a minor and child abuse by domestic violence for the abuse of his step-daughter. He pleaded guilty to one count of attempted child molestation and was sentenced to seven years in prison. He must also register as a sex offender.

I rather have read this..... Dawn the dirty Twat, and her Chester Molester Husband, Juan Corral, were skinned alive by a mob of angry people. After beating them, someone in the mob pulled out a rusty knife and grabbed Dawn by her greasy hair and skinned her. Juan saw what was happening to his sea cow wife, tried to run. But did not get far when another person, pulled him in and skinned him too.
