COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Cobb County police arrested a Harrison High School teacher and charged him with computer pornography.
According to investigators, 36-year-old Christopher Nicklis of Kennesaw sent cell phone pictures of his genitalia as well as statements offering or soliciting sexual conduct with a 15-year-old female.
The victim was not in any of Nicklis' classes.
Nicklis, an English teacher since 2005, has since resigned his position as a teacher at Harrison High upon learning he would be dismissed.
The school said this was the first incident investigated against Nicklis and the matter was quickly resolved.
Nicklis has been released from the Cobb County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
CBS 46 News went to his Kennesaw home located about six miles from the school and no one answered the door.
Residents in the area say this gives them an uneasy feeling.
"It does. It makes me sick when I hear something like that,” said one resident.
