A 44-year-old man is in jail and being accused of molesting several of his young neighbors in Flour Bluff.

Parker Sharp, 44, is in jail for sexual assault and indecency with a child.

Police said the abuse happened at an apartment on Barton Street in Flour Bluff.

Sharp's case is disturbing not only because his suspected victims were young girls living around him, but also because of the way police said he preserved the abuse through pictures and video for his own enjoyment.

The investigation into Sharp began when an 8-year-old girl and her mom came to the police department claiming she had been molested.

Officers later discovered three other girls between six and nine with similar stories about sexual abuse they suffered over several months at the apartment in Flour Bluff.

The victims are all neighborhood children, and police said Sharp used his own 6-year-old daughter to lure them to his house.

The abuse is detailed in a police affidavit, and it includes everything from the touching of private parts to watching pornographic movies to rape.

Sharp admitted to being naked around some of the girls, but denied any sexual abuse.

After his arrest, a police detective later learned of a computer hard drive with child pornography that came from his father's paint and body shop in Kingsville. When he searched the place, he found a lot more inside.

"During the search, he recovered several computers, more DVDs, and more CDs, over 70," Schauer said.

Each one of the videos showed Sharp engaged in sexual acts with the victims.

Also, police do not believe any of the videos of Sharp with his victims were ever shown or given to anyone else.

"As far as we know, he had them for himself and had not posted them on the Internet," Schauer added.

In addition, authorities are still looking through the videos, and if it is found that Sharp did copy, sell, mail or post them online, federal child pornography charges could be filed as well.

Sharp's own two children, who are not considered victims at this point, are now staying with relatives.

Also, information is not available on how or where the videos were kept at Sharp's father's auto body shop, but police said they do not think the father had any idea what was on them.
