Travis Steed
Catherine White
Fucking Meth users, they need to kill each other, not there own innocent children, Basically the case came down to "he said", "she said" and Travis got the life sentence ( after 2 trials). Cathrine pleaded guilty and got 25 years, but the judge in the case suspended all but 10 months of the sentence. She then got credit for time served and was released from jail. Now WTF is wrong with that ??? The bitch got high with that Turd and left him alone with her baby, in a pissed off mood, ohh thats a good combo, high on Meth and a pissed off babysitter. I am kind of hoping this bitch breaks her parole and has to do her whole 25, behind bars.
++++++++++++++++++++++Authorities were called to a motel in February 2006 where they found 15 month old, McKenna White dead. Police have said Cathrine White left her daughter, McKenna, at the Townsman Motel in Miami, Oklahoma with her boyfriend, Travis Steed, when she went to pick up her other children who were staying in Missouri.
Officials said Catherine used meth with Steed before leaving the child alone with Steed. During Steed's murder trial in June 2008, Catherine testified that Steed was angry with her at the time for not driving to Arkansas to bring him some meth.
Officials said Steed was high on meth and beat McKenna while the child's mother was away.
Cathrine would testify that when she returned to the motel, the baby appeared to be asleep. The next day, when Cathrine check on her, McKenna was dead. Officials said the baby was cold and not breathing when Catherine found her.
In October 2007, the mother, Catherine White, was charged in Ottawa County, Oklahoma with felony child neglect in McKenna's death. She was arrested in McDonald County.
The Tulsa medical examiner's report said McKenna died of blunt force trauma to the head. They said the toddler suffered multiple blows to the head and face. The medical examiner testified during Steed's trial that there was a five-inch fracture on the back of McKenna's skull.
The defense for Steed called no witnesses during his first trial, and after a jury could not reach a verdict, a mistrial was declared in early June 2008.
Later that same month Catherine White plead guilty to child neglect. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison, but the judge in the case suspended all but 10 months of the sentence. Catherine then received credit for time served and was released from jail. ( WTF!!!!!)
Jurors were selected in Steed's retrial on Monday, November 17.
The defense argued that it was unclear who injured the child, and that the case essentially came down to the mother's word against Steed's.
McKenna's mother, Catherine White, testified in both trials against Steed

A jury found Travis Steed guilty in November of killing 15-month old McKenna White. The jury recommended a sentence of life in prison, and on Tuesday, the judge made it official.
The toddler's body was discovered, cold and lifeless by her mother in February 2006 at the Townsman Motel in Miami, Oklahoma.
An autopsy revealed she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Steed's first trial ended with a hung jury. His second trial ended with a conviction. And Steed's attorneys have now filed a motion for a third trial.
Jury reaches verdict in retrial
Five months after a jury was unable to reach a verdict in his first trial, Travis Steed was found guilty of first degree murder in the death of his former girlfriend's 15 month old daughter, McKenna White.
Closing arguments were heard early Wednesday morning and jury deliberations began at around 11 a.m. About six hours later, the jury reached its verdict.
The defense had argued that it was unclear who injured the child, and that the case essentially came down to the mother's word against Steed's.
The jury in the second trial made their ruling, then recommended that Steed's sentence be life in prison - however, that has not been made official.
