Anyone lose a body?

The body of a young woman fell from a pickup bed early Thursday, the Harris County Sheriff's Department said.

A witness told investigators that the body landed on the roadway in the 300 block of Rankin Road about 1:45 a.m. The truck continued west on Rankin and did not stop, the witness said.

An ambulance was called to the scene, where the woman was found to be dead, deputies said.

The unidentified woman is thought to be Hispanic and her in late teens to mid 20s. She has a slim build with shoulder length light brown hair. She also has tattoos on her wrist, upper arm and back.

Poor girl, I hope they find out who she is and who killed her.

How sad. And here we are reading about this young girl's body found on the road...
I hope someone is missing her and calls the authorities.

I'm sure she was killed and the bastards are wondering WTF?...I hope they get
busted and swift punishment.

I know Rankin Road well. There is a large strip club, Saint James Cabaret, close to where she was found.

HOUSTON - A man has been accused of running over partially nude woman and leaving her to die in north Harris County, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said Maria Cabrera, 35, fell off a truck on Rankin Road near Rankin Circle on New Year's Day. Deputies said the driver, 36-year-old Numas Campos, ran over Cabrera and took off.

Cabrera went to a nearby motel with Campos, investigators said. The two argued and Campos tried to leave in the pickup truck. Officials said Cabrera held on to the side of the truck and fell as Campos accelerated and swerved. Cabrera died at the scene.

Campos has been charged with manslaughter and was booked into the Harris County Jail.

When they said "a body" fell from the truck it sounded like she was already dead. I even found another article where they still said a "woman's nude body fell from a truck" and then went on to say she was clinging to the vehicle. Odd choice of words.

And maybe I'm too modest, but I find it a bit strange that she was riding around naked, clinging to his truck. There had to be some drinking or drugs involved here.
