According to the report filed with the City of Greenwood Police Department, it happened early Sunday morning at an apartment on Mineral Court in Greenwood.
The victim, Bobbie McDuffie, tells News Channel 7 one minute he was making ribs and the next he was under attack. Forty-three-year-old Marilyn Middleton is charged with aggravated assault and criminal domestic violence after McDuffie says Middleton made mincemeat of his ear! “Chomp, chomp, chomp. Bite like a dog,” McDuffie laughs as he recalls what happened. He says his ear is fine, and he’s not worried about the furniture he lost in the fight as he pointed to the broken table and TV in the yard across the street. McDuffie says, “I’m glad she’s gone, and she’s going to stay gone.“
Middleton told police she bit McDuffie in self-defense. According to the police report, McDuffie and a witness told police Middleton wanted money to buy drugs. As of late Tuesday afternoon, Middleton was still in jail with a $25,000 bond.
