A Cedar Hills, Utah couple was arrested earlier this month on prostitution charges after authorities learned the couple provided sex services out of their home. She provided the services while he enforced payment.

Lorraine Jenks, 43 and Jeff Jenks, 40, were arrested Dec 19 following a three-week investigation into a home prostitution business that operated as children played in the neighborhood.

Police say the investigation began after neighbors noticed heavy traffic in and out of the house over the past four months. Utilizing an informant, detectives were able to learn what was going on inside the house. Prostitution services that saw up to 6 clients per day, according to Lt. Darren Falslev of the American Fork Police Department.

Investigators say Lorraine Jenks was providing the sex acts, charging several hundred dollars for each appointment, while Jeff Jenks monitored the operation with surveillance cameras and enforced payment.

Services were advertised as a massage parlor on several social networking sites, but when callers contacted the business, they were advised that "much more would take place than a massage," Falslev said.

The couple, who have been married for 20 years, made approximately $60,000 over a four month period - investing the money in a new truck, home improvements and a trip out of the country they were planning to take.

The couple's four children live in the home, but authorities do not believe the children had a full understanding of what their parents were doing.

Police say police action was necessary because of the number of children who resided in the neighborhood and the .

"There are kids playing in the front yards as we were carrying out the operation. Who knows who they are bringing in and the safety risk that has been brought to the community. that's probably the scariest part of the whole thing," Falslev said.

Lorraine and Jeff Jenks were arrested on suspicion of a pattern of unlawful activity and not having a business license. They were released after posting $1,500 bail each.

A Cedar Hills man, originally facing prostitution charges, is in more hot water.

Jeffrey Jenks, and his wife Lorraine were arrested in December and accused of running a brothel out of their home.

According to American Fork Police the couple would advertise "Therapeutic Message" on social network sites on the Internet like Myspace and Facebook..

Police say Jenks acted as the business manager booking appointments, taking the money, and enforcing rules. Police say Lorraine performed the sex acts, all while her husband would sometimes watch, from another room, via a video camera.

Last month police say Jenks, while driving past another neighbor made an obscene hand gesture, and accused the neighbor of calling police, he allegedly told the neighbor, "The s*** was coming down the line," suggesting to the neighbor that Jenks would eventually retaliate. "During the initial investigation Mr. Jenks had expressed displeasure with his neighbors who he believed to be the cause of his problems, said Lt. Gregg Ludlow of the American Fork Police Department.

Just days after Jenks and his wife were arrested in December on prostitution charges, 2News interviewed a neighbor who told us she was always suspicious of what the Jenks were up to in their relatively busy home, "cars were there, coming and going between five and 6 a day, they would stay an hour a hour and a half," said the neighbor.

At the time the neighbor asked us to conceal her identity and voice out of fear, she said, that Jenks might retaliate.

We do not know if the woman we interviewed is the same person with whom Jenks had the confrontation that eventually lead to his most recent arrest.

Jenks was charged and arrested on January 28th with tampering and harassing a witness, a felony.

He is due back in court on those charges at the end of February.
