Man lying in middle of road is killed by a hit and run driver

A pedestrian who reportedly was lying in the middle of Edgewater Drive was killed after he was struck by two vehicles Saturday night.

Authorities could not say why 30-year-old Sam White of Orlando was lying in the roadway near the intersection of Edgewater and Aloha Street.

At about 7:59 p.m., a light colored minivan ran over White and fled the scene, traveling north on Edgewater Drive, Florida Highway Patrol said. A second vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old Altamonte Springs woman, swerved to avoid the pedestrian but ran over his left leg.

White was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead early Sunday morning.

Sadly enough, this is a common occurance on the Indian reservation near my area. For some reason drunks are always being run over by drunks out there.

Cant say I like that but, given the choice I would rather they run each others drunk ass over than killing and maiming Innocent people. The reservation by were I live its the drunk meth addicts running each other over.
