http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/...o_exhubby.htmlA Queens man on probation for posting nude photos of his ex-wife online and inviting strangers to rape her - then doing it again in violation of a court order - pleaded guilty to identity theft and criminal contempt.
Thomas Gillen, 46, of Rockaway Park, will be sentenced to 2-1/2 to five years in prison for his twisted fetish on Feb. 2.
The first case in May 2006:
http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/...n___he_po.htmlA Queens man threatened to kill his wife and her family unless she posed in sick sex positions. Then, unbeknown to her, he allegedly posted the sordid photos over the Internet, inviting viewers to rape her.
"Someone Googled her name at work and all this awful stuff showed up," Assistant District Attorney Todd Komisky told a judge. "Pornographic sexual things were all over the Internet."
Thomas Gillen, 43, a college recruiter from Rockaway Park, was charged with reckless endangerment for posting the photos. He was also charged with threatening his wife if she cooperated with law enforcement.
"The e-mail[s] were sent to random strangers with the message, 'I have a fantasy of being raped. I want to be raped,' " said Komisky, adding that Gillen gave his wife's name, work address and other information. "The complaining witness was extremely distressed and frightened."
Gillen was released without bail after the initial charges, but then a search warrant turned up what prosecutors called more incriminating e-mails - this time threatening his wife if she cooperated.
"I will strike and that is the main lesson of this day," he allegedly wrote in an e-mail. "Suicide is not an option. Kill yourself and I will kill every member of your family everywhere."
Gillen'ss attorney referred to the pictures as evidence that Gillen's wife was not coerced.
"She's not being forced, she's not resisting, she has a smile on her face in these pictures," the lawyer said. "It was her fantasy to have these on the Internet."
His latest twisted adventure: Gillen violated his probation by going on the lam for almost a year before leading cops on a high-speed chase this summer.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_c...ted_again.htmlThomas Gillen was caught at the Asleep Inn in Chambersburg, Pa., by state police there. They were alerted to Gillen's latest Internet activity by the Queens district attorney's office.
"He has a fetish, so the plan was to keep checking the sites he liked [to post on] to make sure he was meeting his probation," a law enforcement source said . "And sure enough, he couldn't stay away."
Gillen lucked out when he was arrested in 2006 - sexual abuse laws didn't really cover the hell he put his estranged wife through and she was afraid to testify against him. He was pretending to be his wife when he posted her nude photos, and solicited men online to join her in a "rape fantasy." Several sickos actually showed up at the woman's job hoping to fulfill the fantasy.
Gillen pleaded guilty to felony identify theft and was sentenced to five years' probation last September for his sickening scheme. But rather than take advantage of a second chance, he skipped probation meetings, bailed on a sex offender class and fled.
Investigators believe Gillen was already back to his old tricks of trying to con women into posing for his Internet fantasies.
Gillen convinced one California woman he met online that he was a ship's captain who took a leave of absence to work for Sen. Barack Obama's presidential bid - at the request of none other than Caroline Kennedy, a source said. He allegedly concocted the tale to persuade the woman to meet him in Maryland.
Investigators warned the woman she was in danger while police in California, Pennsylvania and Maryland hunted for Gillen, a probation source said.
