Eric Wilder breaks bones of seven-week-old daughter.

HAMILTON — A father accused of felony child endangerment of his seven-week-old daughter was released on a $50,000 bond late Thursday morning, Dec. 11.

Eric Wilder, 28, of 303 Miami St., was arraigned via video in Butler County Area III Court in West Chester Twp. before his release from the Butler County Jail at 11:22 a.m. Thursday.

A preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Area III Court.

Butler County sheriff's deputies and county Children Services workers were called to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Liberty Campus just after 8 p.m. Tuesday night about an abused child.

Deputies were told by hospital staff that Wilder's infant daughter, Elaina, had multiple fracture injuries to both arms and her right leg, according to Sgt. Monte Mayer, sheriff's spokesman.

I front-paged him, Ronda. I think you and I both know that baby had to have had spiral fractures. Argh.

    Thanks :)

Yes I do. It would also be my guess that once he goes through parenting classes, this baby will be placed right back with this creep, just to give him a chance to do the right thing in raising his baby. I think we will see this baby, once a toddler, back on DD. I would like to see if the other children have old injuries.

NR - Can you explain spiral break-- what is unique to this type of break?

The reason I ask, is because my youngest suffered a spiral break to her leg when she was six. Her father was carrying her down the stairs, she was giggling and wiggling in his arms, he lost his balance and fell, he tried to twist to keep from falling on her and got her foot caught in the stair rails (yes, I was there, I saw it happen) bad break, I think I screamed louder than my daughter.

The ER staff questioned all of us a couple of different times. I thought their approach was odd at the time, but now reading this and thinking back to their questions maybe they thought we/he did something to our daughter?

I know that spiral fractures are indicative of child abuse. I's a serious twisting injury and the femur is the largest bone in the babies body. The femur takes considerable force to break, however in a young child or infant, it wouldn't be as difficult to break. I understand that less than 10% of child abuse cases include spiral fractures but is becoming far more common in younger victims of sexual abuse and or child abuse.

I agree with Crickett, this fucktard needs to die. Pfft...parenting classes...these bastards are repeat offenders and will do it again with or without classes.

Sweet Elaina, heal and be perfect again...away from your bastard father.

It is a fracture which runs around the axis of the bone. It is spiral. Take a broom handle and hold the string at the top and run the string around and down the broom. Now imagine where the string is you have open area's in that broom almost to the core. That is what a spiral break is, a bone that has been twisted really hard gets this type of fracture.

I found a picture of different breaks.
