A Taylor County grand jury on Thursday indicted a Fort Worth couple accused of sexually abusing the man's young daughter during a period when the three lived in Abilene.
Kimberly Ann Pursley
and William Hardee Pursley
Jr. face three counts each of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child. The Pursleys lived in Abilene from 2003 to 2007, according to court documents.
They are accused of abusing William Pursley's daughter, who told investigators that the abuse had been going on for as long as she can remember, the documents showed.
The couple have been held at the Taylor County Jail since being arrested Aug. 5 in Mansfield, said Sgt. John Cummins, a spokesman for the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, which investigated the case.
Each also is facing several unrelated misdemeanor charges, including theft charges. Bail for Kimberly Pursley has been set at $79,000 and bail for her husband has been set at $77,500.
