911 Hung Up on Hannah Foster,17, she was Raped & Mudered

Hannah Foster was forced into the van on her way home. She managed to dial 999 (The UK equivilant to 911) on her cell phone. She probably hoped that the operator would be able to hear her conversation with the man who had abducted her and would realize that she was being held against her will. But their 999 system has a feature so that when the operator cannot hear the call, the system hangs up (nifty...makes sense, huh?) So her last chance hung up on her.
Two days later Hannahs' body was found. She had been raped and strangled.

Maninder Singh Kohli managed to flee to India. However; he was extradited back to England to face trial.

That's just so sad. They should not be able to release a call. I remember a few years ago, that football players wife who was car jacked with her baby and she dialed 911 and that's how the police found them. She just kept talking and giving clues to where they were driving.

Many years ago when the Princess was about 2 she stayed home with her father while I went to to store.

I walked in the door to a ringing telephone. When I answered some man asked "Where is this phone located"? I told him the city we lived in but that was it. He asked for more specific info and I politely told him it was none of his business. He told me a 911 call had been placed from our number and they were following up.

The Princess told me she wanted the peanut butter and couldn't reach it. Daddy was asleep and at school they told them to call 911 if they needed help!

It was funny at the time, but after a few hours I got really pissed off that the police hadn't actually showed up. What if somone had a gun to my head telling me to make up a story so the cops didn't come?

The parents must be devastated. She was a lovely girl with a bright future, what a waste of beautiful life. I pray the bastard that took her life will pay with his.

Maninder Pal Singh Kohli, the bastard, is standing trial for Hannah's abduction, rape and murder.

Hannah's parents, Trevor, 57, and Hilary, 51, and her sister, Sarah, 20, were in Winchester Crown Court to hear the opening of the prosecution case.
