A 4-month old baby is in intensive care with serious head injuries.
Police in Seguin say the baby's father, 20-year-old
Adrian Euresti, admitted hurting her.
Detectives said Euresti told them the child was acting fussy all day Monday when he allegedly hurt her. He and the child's 18-year-old mother rushed the infant to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital late Monday.
Investigators told News 4 that doctors believe the damage to the baby's head was repetitive and deliberate. Euresti, who has been by his baby's side during her treatment, could now face charges.
"Unfortunately...It's an unfortunate event, and there's going to have to be some action taken by CPS and law enforcement," said Det. Sgt. Aaron Seidenberger of the Seguin Police Department.
The baby is currently in stable condition. Doctors said it's too soon to tell if she'll have permanent damage.
