    So here is a new arena where the call went to CPS, when is sould have gone to the cops.

    In this story the Sheriff wants the public to call them first. The calls to CPS did nothing

    Walton is frustrated and now wants residents to call 911 instead of the hotline, because that will ensure that an officer will go to the home in question to investigate.
    Because;

    Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton also confirmed that a neighbor had called the SRS Abuse Hotline in January, saying she heard screams coming from a child inside the home. But SRS never investigated the report or forwarded the information to its office in Newton, because they felt the call did not indicate harm to the child.
    How dreadful. Neighbors call, and they did nothing!!! Can we Puh-Lease charge these fuckers with murder as well???? Who in this life is more accountable than someone who is PAID to TAKE CARE OF LITTLE KIDS THAT CAN"T DEFEND THEMSELVES????

    I see all these stories so I know this is really happening, I know CPS really does ignore calls but they must not do it around where I live. When my ex called on me he said that I let my kids eat out of the garbage, knowing flat out that would take less than 30 seconds to find out that it wasn't true, he didn't care. My girls and my son would never go near the trash let alone eat anything out of it. Another call about my pool, he told them I let the kids swim by themselves which is a joke because there is always an adult INSIDE the pool at all times, not just outside watching. I have a padlocked ladder, they looked at that asked me to sign a pool safety agreement and left. So I know they do come out and check stuff, stupid stuff in my mind but that's because I wasn't doing anything I was accused of. I just don't understand why if they would come to my house about a pool, they won't come when someone calls about someone beating a kid?

    That is exaclty what I ask. Maybe they will check up on calls from someone who will identify themselves before they will check up on a call from an anon source. I will keep that in mind. Thank you for your contribution, Aena

    The cops and CYS are useless. I called our local police to do a welfare check on my grandson. They called the mother on the phone, who told them everything was ok, too lazy to go to the house. I called CYS who in PA. have 7-10 days to respond to a call. By the time they went the mother & child were gone!

    Sorry to hear that Julie, seems like when they are really needed they never show up, yet when it is some BS with parents going through a custody dispute they are right on the ball. Ridiculous!
