BOSTON – A Dorchester man who works at a Jamaica Plain School has been held on $10,000 cash bail after being charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

Stephen W. Doran, 57, was arraigned Wednesday in West Roxbury District Court following his arrest Tuesday by State Police. Judge Michael Coyne ordered Doran to wear a GPS device and remain on home confinement except for medical appointments if he posts bail.
Doran, a tutor at Match Charter Middle School, allegedly had a package sent to the school on Tuesday. Just after 12:30 that afternoon, police stopped Doran as he left the school in his vehicle and opened the package, recovering two heat sealed bags containing 480 grams of crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine. As the substance was sent to the school, he was additionally charged with violating the state’s drug laws in a school zone.

Mike Larsson, of Match Charter Middle School, said “We have no knowledge, nor any reason to believe, that any staff, teachers, or students were involved in this matter or were in danger in any way.” Doran had passed a background check with the school prior to his hiring.

After obtaining a warrant to search Doran’s Dix Street residence, State Police recovered an additional 38 grams of the substance and about $10,000 in cash, a digital scale, and other items consistent with drug distribution. The estimated total street value of the seized drugs was about $50,000. Based on this evidence, Doran will be charged with a second count of methamphetamine trafficking in Dorchester District Court.

YORK, Pa. (AP) – A couple face charges after police in York County say they stabbed each other during an argument over which contestant should win ‘American Idol.’

The York Dispatch reports 48-year-old Karen Elaine Harrelson and 57-year-old Gregory Stambaugh had been watching the show at Stambaugh’s West Manchester Township home on May 15.

Police say they got into a drunken argument over which contestant – Candice Glover or Kree Harrison – should win the season’s title.

Investigators say one went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed the other.

The person stabbed first then grabbed the knife and stabbed the other.

Investigators say each told police the other stabbed first.

Now, both are being held in York County Prison on assault charges.

DONORA (KDKA) – A Donora man was sentenced on charges he raped a 10-year-old boy and also had sex with the family cat.

The Observer-Reporter reports 31-year-old Damien D. Milchak pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child, indecent assault, corruption of a minor, having sex with the boy, and the cat.

In a Washington County Court, Judge Katherine B. Emery sentenced Milchak to to 11 ½ to 23 months in jail, followed by five-years probation.

The paper reports Judge Emery also sentenced Milchak to counseling, and a mental health evaluation.

CLAYTON, MO (KTVI)– A 39-year-old man fled from police after he was pulled over, but was caught after he accidentally ran into police headquarters, according to the Clayton Police Department.

Joseph Meacham was pulled over in the 7800 block of Forsyth Wednesday afternoon.

Police said he got out of the car and then started running.

“He was running through the grass looking for a place to hide and ran straight into the police department,” she said. “It is pretty funny.”

Police said once inside Meacham ran toward the chief of police’s office.

He was greeted by St. Louis County Lt. Bryan Ludwig.

“He ran the other way when he saw officers, but it was a dead end,” Lt. Ludwig said. ”He balled up on the ground and we took him into custody pretty easy.”

Clayton police officers took the suspect and questioned him.

However, he was released after being issued a court summonses, according to the Clayton Police Department.

Police said Meaham smelled like alcohol.

CLAYTON • What one man thought would be his escape led instead to his capture today at St. Louis County police headquarters.

A man running from the police unknowingly ran into police headquarters at about 2 p.m., and was apprehended at gunpoint behind the police chief's office.

Shortly after 2 p.m. St. Louis County Lt. Bryan Ludwig and media relations Officer Randy Vaughn were discussing a policing contract in Ludwig's office when Ludwig saw a man running in the hallway toward the office area he shares with Chief Tim Fitch and other administrative aides.

"I told Randy that if I say, 'Duck,' it's because I might have to use my gun," Ludwig said.

The officers then saw the man dart to the left of a set of double doors that led into the chief's office and into a hallway that dead-ended at the Intelligence Unit. The man was curled up in a ball when they found him, Ludwig said.

"He acted like if he didn't look up and couldn't see us then we couldn't see him," Ludwig said.

Ludwig and Vaughn held him at gunpoint and were joined shortly thereafter by a Clayton police officer, who had been chasing the suspect.

A Clayton officer pulled over the man—identified as Joseph Meacham, 39, of the 3200 block of Itaska Street in St. Louis city—and his female passenger for a traffic violation as they headed northbound along Central Avenue at Forsyth Boulevard. The officer asked Meacham to step out of the vehicle; as the officer walked back toward vehicle, the suspect pushed the officer out of his way and a short foot pursuit ensued, said Clayton Officer Korey Golcynski.

They ran first eastbound along Forsyth, then into an alley and eventually back to Forsyth and Central. The suspect then ran west on Forsyth into the county police headquarters building and toward the chief's office, Golcynski said.

"It appears the subject had no idea where he was going," Golcynski said. "He was unfamiliar with the area."

The Clayton officer arrested Meacham, and police still are trying to determine why the man ran from police. The female passenger remains in police custody, but is being cooperative, Golcynski said.

Ludwig said he could smell alcohol on the suspect's breath, and the man was initially complaining that he couldn't breathe.

Fitch, meanwhile, walked into his office shortly after the incident to find a Clayton police officer inside. He had been attending an award ceremony at a restaurant in Frontenac where some of his officers were being given awards by the Mental Health Association.

Nobody was injured during the incident. Ludwig said the incident caused some confusion for some citizens that were in the hallway at police headquarters at the time.

"They were all standing around saying, 'Um, that man has his gun out!'" Ludwig said

Katie Aldrich was smoking outside the Haunted Head, a pirate bar in Oceanside, Monday evening when a man in a red Ford F150 pulled up and grabbed the Salmon-crested cockatoo from her.

The man jumped into his truck and pulled away, she said. Aldrich’s husband attempted to stop the driver, but was unsuccessful.
The cockatoo has blue around his eyes, a broken toenail and a bump on the back of his upper left shoulder. Aldrich said the bird does not have a metal ring around his ankle.

A woman found on a Pleasant Grove roadside Tuesday with a Walmart bag over her head has been criminally charged after authorities found she made up the ordeal.

Pleasant Grove police today charged 19-year-old Kayla B. Earl with False Reporting to Law Enforcement. The crime is a misdemeanor.

Investigators said Earl, of Hueytown, was trying to lure back her estranged boyfriend with sympathy when she told lawmen she was attacked in a Pleasant Grove cemetery. A Jefferson County sheriff's deputy on patrol spotted the woman about 5 a.m. in the dirt just off the road near Five Acre Road. She appeared unconscious.

She told detectives she was visiting a friend's gravesite at the cemetery when a man came up from behind her and put a bag over her head. Her vehicle was found parked in the cemetery.

The woman said she struggled with the man, and was able to break free. She then ran to the roadway, where she said she passed out.

Detectives from both Pleasant Grove and Hueytown spent much of the day trying to track down the real story, including cell phone records and review of surveillance video from nearby. During a second interview with detectives, Earl broke down and admitted the hoax.

"She even said she put the bag on her head to make it look like someone tried to suffocate her,'' said Pleasant Grove Detective Jason Davis. "She is going through some personal problems. Between that and wanting attention, it turns out none of this happened."

ROUGH AND READY (CBS13) — A man whose wife bit him on the genitals after an argument after a rodeo says his only regret is calling 911 on her.

Anthony Hill is still healing and says he’s standing by his wife, Christina Salinas.

Hill said Sunday was supposed the be a fun night out at the Penn Valley Rodeo. He says the argument followed a series of stressful events in their lives, including the fact Salinas’ ex-husband now lives with them.

Hill wanted to leave early, she wanted to stay. When they got home, the argument continued. Salinas’ ex-husband tried to separate the two, and when both men went to hold her down, that’s when she allegedly bit his penis.

But he says he’s already made up with her, saying it’s just what they normally do — except they don’t call 911.

“I’ve assaulted her before in arguments,” Hill said. “We work it out and I went beyond that.”

Six people were arrested at the Syracuse 6 Movie Theater early Thursday for what investigators say was an X-rated live performance.

Police received a tip on Wednesday that a "live sex show" would be taking place after midnight at the theater

After obtaining additional information and a warrant, the Davis Metro Narcotics Unit and a SWAT team set up a sting operation and found three women and a man engaging in sex acts inside the theater, according to police.

Six people, including an observer, were arrested.

Anael Ibanez, 36, of Bountiful, works for the company that was contracted to clean the movie theater. Police believe he posted ads on Craigslist to "recruit the females to engage in acts of prostitution, as well as to identify interested males," according to the police statement. He was arrested for investigation of distribution of pornographic material and exploiting prostitution. Investigators say he tried to do the same thing at least one other time at the movie theater the week before.

The sheriff's office said the movie theater management did not know about the alleged sex show.

The three women were identified as 19-year-old Krystle Morales, 22-year-old Lillian Scott, and 21-year-old Shelby Boyce. All three were charged with sexual solicitation, a class B misdemeanor. Boyce was also charged with possession of spice and paraphernalia.

Police say Terrill Holiday, 43, was there to watch the show. He was charged with sexual solicitation. Investigators say Troy Manning, 33, was in the live sex show. He was charged with sexual solicitation, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.

A spectacularly ill-advised tweet from a young driver, describing knocking a cyclist off his bike, has led to a police investigation and widespread social media outrage.

A Norwich woman, whose name is 'Emma Way' on Twitter, tweeted: "Definitely knocked a cyclist off his bike earlier – I have right of way he doesn’t even pay road tax #bloodycyclists
But the driver received a nasty shock after receiving a tweet from Norwich Police, advising her to hand herself in.

Her message was retweeted hundreds of times, with many pointing out that, in fact, road tax does not exist.
As the post went viral, trainee chef Toby Hockley, 29, was identified as the alleged victim by his bike club, knocked off his bike while taking part in the Boudicca Sportive ride.

He posted on Facebook: "Oh hi! That was me you hit and FYI, you didn't knock me off, I'm too hard to be hurt by a pissy micra or whatever it was you were driving."

Hockley said he had decided previously not to report the incident. "I'm fine, few scrapes, bruises and sore joints but otherwise fine," he said. "It could have been a different story if it had been any other rider. I'm not angry at all. Don't see the point."

In an interview with the BBC, Hockley continued: "She hit me hard, really hard. I am lucky to be alive. But I managed to get out of the hedge and stand up.

"The car was nowhere to be seen. She hit me and she was gone. All I know is that it was a blonde girl driving."

Both the message and the account have now been deleted from the social networking site. A Norwich police spokesman said that both parties had now been contacted and the investigation was progressing.

In response to furious emails about the incident, Ms Way's employers Larking Gowen said in a statement. "Please be assured that this is not a view held by the firm and we most certainly do not condone this behaviour.

"We are taking the incidents very seriously, and a full and detailed investigation will be carried out and appropriate action taken. We have already spoken to Norfolk Police."

A man has been killed in a machete attack and two suspects shot by police in Woolwich, south-east London.

The Met Police said a murder inquiry was being led by its Counter Terrorism Command. Prime Minister David Cameron said the UK would "never buckle" in the face of terror attacks.

Footage has emerged showing a man wielding a bloodied meat cleaver and making political statements.

Police confirmed two men had been arrested in connection with the murder.

There are unconfirmed reports that the dead man was a soldier.

The footage shown on the ITV website shows a man, speaking to the camera, saying: "We must fight them as they fight us. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth."

"One witness, identified only as James, said two men had attacked another man, aged about 20, who was wearing a T-shirt of military charity Help for Heroes.

A dramatic video tonight emerged of a man with bloodied hands, carrying knives and ranting 'We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you', after a serving soldier was hacked to death by two men just 200 yards from an Army barracks.

The man can be seen and heard talking to the camera. The video came as terrified eyewitnesses saw two men shot by police marksmen after the machete attack in Woolwich, south-east London.

Luke Huseyin, 32, who lives in a block of flats on John Wilson Street, Woolwich, close to where the incident happened said he watched two men murder a man before being shot.

He said: 'I was at home and heard a big bang. I looked out of the window and saw a car had crashed.

'It was a blue Vauxhall. Then two black guys got out of the car dragging a white guy across the road towards the wall. One of the guys had a knife that looked about a foot long and a machete and the other bloke had a gun.

'They started slashing him up with the knife and hitting him in the stomach with the machete. I don't think it took long before he was dead. There were people passing by who were screaming and running away. I've never seen anything like it.

'I'm still really shaken up. When he was dead, they dragged him out into the road and left him there. It was strange, they didn't run off, they just stood there as if they were waiting for the police.

'It must have taken about 20 minutes for the police to arrive, I think it must've been because they were waiting for armed police.

'The police officers got out of the car and the two black men ran towards them with the gun.

'The police shot them. They fell to the ground. Then a helicopter landed. Think it must've been an air ambulance.

'The paramedics got out and I think they were working on the two men to try and keep them alive.

'I don't know if they died, they were taken away in the helicopter. A blanket was put over the white guy lying in the road. 'I just can't believe what I saw.'

) A Desoto County,MS judge has issued an arrest warrant for Rapper ‘Tim Dog’ who is supposed to be dead.

Tim Dog, or Timothy Blair, was convicted of swindling a Southhaven women in 2011, but it was reported he died in February.

Hernando Prosecutor Steven Jubera says if Tim Dog is alive, he’s pulling of the greatest scam ever in the history of hip hop. And if he’s alive, he’s also going to jail.

“I need proof,” said Jubera.

Proof is not easy to get when it comes to Blair.

“Come to New York and see who gets robbed,” says his lyrics.

Tim was known in the 90s for his song about Compton and more recently for his swindling ways.

“I believe he was so angry that he had to pay me back,” said Victim Esther Pilgrim, who lost money to Blair after meeting him on an online dating site.

Pilgrim, who fought to get Blair convicted, now believes Tim Dog’s pulling off his biggest scam yet.

“This is amusing to him, she said.

Pilgrim believes the rapper, reported dead in February, is really alive.

The prosecutor who convicted him, agrees.

“I need proof,” said Jubera. “I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive.”

The rapper was supposed to be making monthly payments to the courts after being convicted of grand larceny, but stopped paying when he was reported “dead.”

Information about his death, however, is lacking in Rolling Stone Magazine and other publications that reported it.

“Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary,” he said.

In fact, even one of Tim Dog’s closest hip hop colleagues Ced Gee tells News Channel 3 that he refused to speak at Blair’s funeral because Tim Dog’s family could not produce a death certificate.

Ced Gee believes after that, the funeral never happened.

Esther Pilgrim is a single mother who says the former 90's rapper Tim Dog has been using his music to manipulate women and she's sending out a warning.

"Because he has a past history he knows how to talk the talk and walk the walk," said Pilgrim.

Pilgrim, 47, says she met former rapper Timothy 'Tim Dog' Blair on an online dating website.

Wining and dining, staying in his expensive Atlanta condo, Pilgrim says Blair earned her trust.

"What it appears he does is he uses one victims money to bait the other victim," said Pilgrim.

Convinced that Blair was a successful entertainer, Pilgrim opened a $10,000 line of credit with American Express to help him invest in online pre-orders for his music. Ten-thousand dollars soon turned $30,000, and by then Pilgrim realized that 'Tim Dog' had taken her to the dog house.

When asked if Pilgrim loved him, she stated, "Uh, I loved the person he pretended to be."

Her credit card was frozen and Pilgrim says during her own investigation she learned that she was not the only victim. Blair was an authorized user on several other accounts connected to phony music investments.

"Later I would learn he was married. He has a child. I mean, what kind of man denies his own child?" said Pilgrim.

It had all been a lie and even more, Pilgrim says it took more than three years for local authorities to take her case. Blair entered a guilty plea to grand larceny in 2010.

On her journey to justice, Pilgrim says she has accepted that she will be judged.

"No one will beat me up more than I did ok. I know that I have peace within myself, that I fought the good fight so that this man can't be enabled to do this any more," stated Pilgrim.

As part of his plea deal Blair received five years unsupervised probation and was ordered to pay Pilgrim back $19,000 in $100 monthly payments.

GOLDEN, Colo. - Golden Police are looking for a man whose wife was found dead on Monday.

Relatives called police to check on David Wayne Reathman, who lives at 431 Zeta Street. Relatives said they were concerned that the terminally ill man might be dead.

When officers arrived, they went into the home and found the body of a woman.

Golden Police said the victim was Barbara Reathman. Investigators said they don't know the 70-year-old woman's cause of death, but they did say her death appears suspicious.

Neighbors said they saw Wayne about 2 hours before police found his wife.

"I saw Wayne about 12:10 yesterday afternoon walking his dog," said neighbor Tim Erickson.

Neighbors said they haven't seen Barbara for several days.

"I never saw them together. Their car hasn't been there for about three days," said another neighbor who wished to remain anonymous.

On Tuesday, Golden police wore hazmat suits as they bagged evidence and processed the scene for DNA. Police said Barbara's body had no signs of trauma but they are calling it a suspicious death.

"Right now we want to speak to Mr. Reathman who may be able to help us as a possible witness to this case," said Golden Police PIO Daryl Hollingsworth.

7NEWS has confirmed Reathman and his wife were retired. Wayne Reathman had worked at the Jefferson County Jail as a civilian employee for four years. He oversaw inmates in the work program until he retired last year.

Neighbors told 7NEWS he was cordial and kept to himself.

"I don't think he would've done anything wrong because like I said, he was a loving husband. Never had any problems with him," said neighbor David Erickson.

Police are now looking for Mr. Reathman. He is a 65-year-old white man. He is six feet tall, weighs 230 pounds and has gray hair and hazel eyes.

There have already been several weird twists in the story of David Reathman, 65. And don't bet against more of them popping up before the final chapter is written.

Unfortunately, the end has already come for Reathman's wife, Barbara, age seventy, who was found dead in her Golden home on Monday, shortly after her terminally ill husband disappeared. Now, he's been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder even though the cause of her death hasn't been made clear yet.

The case begins with an irony: Members of the Golden Police Department were first called to the Reathman residence, located in a mobile home park, because loved ones (to whom we offer our condolences) feared that David might have died.

Instead, the body officers discovered was Barbara's. Thus far, authorities haven't revealed how long she'd been dead, but some personnel at the site could be seen donning hazmat suits.[...]

Phoenix resident Jorge Valencia has been conducting marijuana sales in full view of anyone who visited his public Facebook account, according to police.

"There were two conversations between Valencia and other subjects wherein they inquired about purchasing illegal drugs from Valencia and Valencia responded," state court documents obtained by New Times.

Further, the officer who found the Facebook page also found a photo of Valencia, 30, with a large wad of cash.

"Valencia posted that this wad of cash was dope money and that he never had a job," a probable-cause statement says.

Police started surveillance on Valencia's Phoenix apartment last week and watched a pair of apparent drug transactions, according to the documents.

The cops then obtained a search warrant, and note that the room was the same room Valencia was taking his Facebook photos in, and they even found one of the shotguns he posed with in a photo.

Police also found a revolver in there -- which was reported stolen in 2006 -- as well as a 121-gram marijuana stash and packaging material.

"A cell phone found in Valencia's house had a text message wherein a subject had asked Valencia for half an ounce of marijuana," the probable-cause statement reads. "Valencia responded by telling the subject to notify Valencia when he was present."

Police also found another cellphone, with a Facebook app that opened straight to Valencia's Facebook account, under the name of "Queso Lokon." (Don't bother looking it up, he's already bonded out of jail and deleted all the good stuff.)

Valencia was booked on five felony charges, four of them drug charges.

A teenager was arrested by police and hauled before magistrates after giving away a friend's virtual savings on a fantasy internet game.

Keiron Belmont, 19, logged into a friend's profile on the popular online game RuneScape and gave away her stash of virtual money following an argument.

Gamer Helen Jenkins - who had spent six years saving up 'credits' in the medieval role-playing world - then decided to called in police.

And despite the money having no value in the real world, Belmont was charged and hauled before the courts.

Prosecutor Anwen Evans told Swansea Magistrates Court: 'He accessed her computer and logged on to the role playing fantasy game RuneScape.

'He traded away all the credits built-up over the past six years.'

A court heard how Belmont had been staying at Miss Jenkin's house in Swansea when he logged onto her account on the multiplayer online role-playing game.

On the popular game players save up 'coins' by fighting other users or carrying out tasks.

This virtual currency can be spent on items such as armour and weapons through trading or in the games online marketplace.

The money has no value in the real world and trading it for cash - known as 'Gold Farming' - is banned by gamemaker Jagex.

Stuart John, defending, said: 'He saw an opportunity to carry out a spiteful act - he knew the password to the computer because he had used it before.

'I would compare it to Monopoly money - purely because it is online should not make a difference, though the profile is clearly personal."

Belmont, of Swansea, admitted an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 of gaining unauthorised access to a computer and making unauthorised modifications to computer material.

He was given an eight-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £16 ($24) compensation by Swansea magistrates.

A St. Paul man strangled his sister-in-law, slashed her neck and chest with a knife, and told police he was “one-hundred percent sure” he had killed her, according to charges filed Monday.

Paul Lee, 23, is charged with second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault in Ramsey County District Court for the May 17 attack.

According to the complaint: Police interviewed the victim at Regions Hospital’s surgical intensive care unit. She told police that Lee arrived at her home and asked to use her phone because his phone battery was dead. The woman said she rarely has contact with Lee so his visit surprised her.

When she retrieved her phone, Lee strangled her until she lost consciousness. She was in and out of consciousness, and heard him going through her utensil drawer. When she awoke, Lee was stabbing her neck. She passed out. When she awoke again, he was slashing her shoulder and chest, the complaint said.

The woman made her way to the front door as her boyfriend ran toward the house. Lee cut the man, chased after him and eventually called his wife to pick him up.

“I killed your sister,” Lee allegedly told his wife.

In a police interview, Lee said he did “something very wrong” and told police he drove to the woman’s home after drinking, attacked her with a knife he found in the kitchen and also attacked her boyfriend. The boyfriend told police he believed Lee used a broken bottle on him.

The woman told police Lee cut her wrist, which Lee could not recall, and believes that he also sexually assaulted her with an unknown object. Lee denied the sexual assault allegation.

Lee told police he didn’t know why he drove to the sister-in-law’s house.

Responding officers found the 27-year-old victim on a curb on East Maryland Avenue, near White Bear Avenue, about 1:35 a.m. Friday, in the fetal position with blood covering her face, neck and chest. Her eyes were swollen shut and bruised. The woman was naked from the waist down, and her white camisole was ripped and blood-soaked.

When she next woke, she was alone. She made her way to the front door and saw her boyfriend running toward the house. He helped her until police and paramedics arrived.

The boyfriend, also 27, told police he'd gone to check on the woman and encountered Lee outside the house, where Lee assaulted him with what appeared to be a broken bottle. Police saw the man had a severe cut to his shoulder.

Lee had fled in his vehicle.

Lee's wife reported that he called at 2 a.m., saying he'd killed the woman and asking to be picked up at Stillwater and White Bear avenues in St. Paul. When Lee's wife and another relative reached him, Lee was shirtless and had blood on his knee and face. He repeatedly said, "Dude, I messed up!" and repeated the female victim's nickname.

He asked them to take him to his parents' house in St. Paul, where police found Lee and arrested him.

Lee told police he choked the woman "to the point where he believed that she was dead," the complaint said. He said he was "100 percent sure" that he'd killed her and cut her after to "get rid of the evidence," the complaint said.

Lee said he went in the kitchen and found a knife. He put on rubber surgical gloves he'd had in his vehicle, which he had used that day while fishing. Lee said he then stabbed her in the chest and cut her in the shoulder and chest area; he didn't recall cutting her wrist.

He saw a bottle of unknown liquid and poured it on the woman to help "clean up," the complaint said.

A Delaware County grand jury returned an indictment this week against a doctor accused of driving while drunk.

According to the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office, Worthington doctor Elizabeth Unk drove while drunk and struck a bicyclist who was riding along a roadway.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol determined that Unk's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Unk's driver's license has been suspended.
