Today, I was planning with a friend of mine, a birthday get together for my boyfriend for Saturday night. As I am going over with her who I do and don't want there, I tell her that I don't want to invite this guy Greg, because my daughter is going to be there-he is a major alcoholic who doesn't know when to quit. My daughter has never been around him, and I was not going to make an exception now. So after I state this decision she says, "Can I ask why? Is it that he is a drunk-or do you know the secret?" I say that I obviously don't know the secret, and she proceeds to tell me he is a registered sex offender! So I tell her that he will defiantly not be invited, and when he gets his feelings hurt for being left out, I will kindly point out that I have an 8 year old that he will not come within 10 feet of.

I looked him up, and the details I read were that he was 36 and she was 13. So I say "How does someone even do things like that with a 13 year old?" my question is met with the most absurd response ever..."Maybe she didn't look 13. I always looked older then I was" WHY DOES THAT MATTER?

We spent the next 15 minutes talking back and forth about how she thinks that it shouldn't be an issue (she is not a mom) because Sierra is only 8, and the girl he "went for" was 13. I eventually signed off the computer and went out to smoke.
