A "Mom" Moment

Rate this Entry
I know you all have experienced it, but with my husband gone, I just needed some folks to share my pride with. My son is turning into a little man, and it makes me so proud that I have such an awesome kid.
He has outgrown his carseat, so I bought him a booster seat this weekend. I called it a "big boy" seat, and he was very excited to bring it home, put it together, and put it in the car. Whenever we go anywhere now, he says "Big boy seat?" I was asking him yesterday morning if he wanted to go to McDonalds (our Sunday lunch date), and he looked at me and said "Go big boy seat?"
I just can't believe that my little guy is growing up so much. Every day he learns a new word or does a new cute thing, and it just makes me so proud to be a mom. I think it's the best accomplishment in my life.
Anyway, I was rambling, but i had to share!

i wish more moms would stop and appreciate their children when they're at this age.. so many are too wrapped up in their own crap to realize they're missing out on the important years of their child's life. it's great when they start talking and with comprehension of what they're repeating. :) good job Mom!

Congrats! Many women give themselves less credit than they deserve. Take theskyisfalling and souncool as prime examples of strong-willed single parents. It can be done, and I'm sure your boy is an awesome addition to the world. : ) Mens can be over rated and more of the problem than the part of the great contribution. This also applies to woman. I havent had the right amount of sleep. My mom just told me my grandpa is going to be taken off of life support tomorrow. This is in Temple, Texas, so I wont be able to be there. Sucks.

Sorry to go onto shit about me. Stay coo'

It is great to be a mom! Did you ever imagine that you would blubber over carseats? I never thought I would. That's what makes it super special.

Same here Sky, I never thought I would get so emotional or take so many damn pictures of the first ride in the "big boy seat." Now I understand why my mom acted the way she did about certain things.
