She's Here!

Mina Isabella Harper was born at 8:33pm PST Saturday, August 7th at a weight of 7lbs 8.6oz and 20.5" long after a grueling 2 days of labor (but I avoided the c-section, so it was worth every painful second). I required 2 epidurals and lost a liter of blood in the process, but in return, I got the most precious creature I've ever had the privilege of being responsible for.
Thus far, parenthood has been an absolute dream. She's beautiful and peaceful. Mike has risen far above even the highest expectation, taking the absolute best care of both me and our child. The way he looks at her has caused me to fall in love with him all over again. I definitely lucked out in the daddy department.
The only shortcoming is that she hasn't taken to breastfeeding. We saw a lactation specialist yesterday and, apparently, little miss Mina is a biter, more content with jawing my poor nipples than accessing the milk (that's mah girl). That said, I'm philosophically committed to providing her with the benefit of breastmilk, so I've been pumping and bottle-feeding. Not ideal, but a fair compromise.
Thank you to everyone who offered well wishes and advice. Your input was invaluable, and helped make a potentially trying period in my life a little more hopeful.
