My 16 year old got his learner's permit today. Naturally, both of my sons, my son's girlfriend and I went out driving tonight. We just got home a little bit ago.

He's doing wonderfully. I looked at him, all grown up, sitting in the driver's seat and saw my little baby. The one that I held in my arms all these years. The one that counted on me to love and protect him. I had my son at a young age. We basically grew up together. And here he is, driving.

My eyes filled with tears. I turned to look out the windshield so he couldn't see me cry. "CURBAGE!" Tragedy averted. Back to reality. :)
