You know, I love dogs, I do, but when it comes to kids, you just can't be too careful. I ran across this story about a person that runs an in home daycare and has 2 dogs. I'm sure she just turned her back for a second or maybe she didn't and the kids normally interact with the dogs and nothing has ever happened. Today was different, however. All animals are unpredictable, it is not the dogs fault, this is just their nature. Any dog can attack at any time.

The 4 year old is expected to recover but I'm assuming his injuries were rather serious since he was airlifted.

I'm not sure I'd have my kids in a daycare with a dog that was bigger than the child. I know little dogs can be quite aggressive, but a big dog can do more damage. So sad all the way around - hope little one is OK.

that's exactly how i got my 2nd boxer. he bit a kid in the daycare his idiot owner had. who knows what the kids (kids don't know better until they are taught) did to my boxer or the dog in the story. i'm NOT blaming the kids or the dogs. i truly don't believe dogs belong in a daycare situation.

Poor child...I know how terrifying it is to be bitten by a dog, had 2 really bad incidents as a child, first when I was 5. I am still terrified of large dogs and very cautious with my children and pets.
I love dogs, had 2 very special ones as a child but I would never leave my child in a daycare with a dog or have one in my home with small children.
