Officers say they were in a home this weekend with the worst living conditions they have ever seen....
Dwayne and Sharee Hanson are charged with child abuse. Two kids ages 9 and 1 were living with their parents in the home.
According to police reports one officer wrote the house smelled so bad it made him nauseous.
Officers describe the home as having inhumane living conditions the home was filthy, garbage was everywhere and piled up on the counters, flies were buzzing in the kitchen, and food had been left on the stove for some time.
The parents are each charged with child abuse for failing to provide their kids with an adequate living environment.
In addition the father is also charged with child abuse for hitting his daughter in the head.

Both are serving some jail time.
Sharee Hanson was sentenced to serve one month in jail. She will be on three years of supervised probation following her release.
Hanson`s husband, Dwayne Hanson, previously pleaded guilty to three counts of child abuse or neglect, including one count that said he struck the couple`s 9-year-old daughter. He was sentenced to serve two months in prison on the count involving the assault, and six months in prison on the other two counts, with three years of supervised probation.

Her MySpace is still open. She divorced Dwayne and appears to have the kids back, but I'm not positive.

Yep, she got 30 days... but will have to complete probation or will end up serving a year.A woman accused of child abuse for living with her children in a house where the living conditions were described as the worst police officers had seen has been sentenced to spend 30 days in jail.
South Central District Judge Bruce Haskell on Thursday sentenced Sharee Hanson to one year with all but 30 days suspended and three years of supervised probation on two counts of child abuse or neglect.
[...]
Bismarck police were called to the Hanson home in November 2008 for a report of child abuse made by a third-party, out-of-state caller. Responding officers reported the house had a "putrid" smell that made them nauseated, and said garbage, clothing, food, dirty diapers and other rubbish were strewn through the home.
A 17-month-old girl was barefoot, walking through the garbage, police said. A 9-year-old girl also was living in the home; she had a visible injury and said she had been assaulted by Dwayne Hanson.
Sharee Hanson had answered the door for police, though she later said the conditions of the home were not her fault as she was on bed rest. Prosecutors called the defense "laughable," saying no proof to that had been offered and even if she were on bed rest, she still was responsible for her children.
[...]
Hanson appeared to be fighting tears as she also asked for a sentence consisting of probation and no jail time. She said social workers have indicated she could get her children back within three months.
Haskell said the case was difficult, but it consisted of a pattern of decision making, not an isolated incident.
"In this case, a lot of wrong decisions were made," he said.
The judge said Sharee Hanson's limited criminal history was to her credit, but he said he felt the offenses need to stay on her record in some form. He said he was giving her jail time, as he felt there was a need in the case for "plain old, everyday punishment."
Sharee Hanson cried as the judge pronounced sentencing. Haskell told her to report to the Burleigh County Detention Center to begin serving her sentence on Monday morning. He ordered that she can be permitted out on work release if approved by the sheriff's department.http://www.bismarcktribune.com/articles/2009/08/28/news/local/193169.txt
