So ... I've been here for 10 days now, and just noticed that I'm supposed to introduce myself. Oops. Here goes.

My name is Maggie, I live in Austin, Texas, and I work full-time as a nanny and I'm eventually planning to go back to school for my accounting degree. At least, that's the plan, since I have lots of experience with family-owned CPA firms and nepotism is alive and well in my corner of the universe.

Recently I've been dating my college sweetheart who, by complete coincidence, ended up moving over 200 miles to the next street down from me (about 10 miles). Until he found me on Facebook, we hadn't seen each other or spoken in four years. Funny, right? We tell people (just my mother) that we met when he gave me crabs. True story. He was a waiter in a seafood restaurant and I'm crazy for crab. Get it?

I don't have any kids, thank God, since I haven't exactly finished growing up yet, and I'm remarkably selfish a lot of the time. I do want kids though, very badly ... wish me luck in that, somewhere down the road.

I read a lot of silly romance novels (I love a happy ending), watch the Food Network and spend a lot of time cooking, take tons of pictures, check my Facebook and my MySpace too many times every day, spend time with the man in my life, and snuggle in bed with my laptop.

Fun fact: I make the best muffins in the world.

I have a weird obsessive-compulsive issue with numbers. I like everything to be a multiple of three of five, and if it's not, sometimes I get really uncomfortable. I'm getting better about that, though, thank goodness.

My favorite color is pink.

I'm a natural blond but I let a good friend put highlights in my hair and now I love them.

I'm really odd about feet. Don't touch mine, and don't touch me with yours. Seriously. I'll throw up.

I looooooooove pickles.

I really like it here--I've had such a warm welcome from everyone, and I appreciate the help I've gotten from people along the way.
