A justice of the peace set bond at $500,000 for a 20-year-old man who reportedly sexually assaulted a teenager, Wichita County court records show.
Jimmy Noel Hughes, 20, was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in connection with the late-August incident. He was in the Wichita County Jail Tuesday.
Deputies spoke with the victim, a girl in her midteens, who said she was asleep at a friends house when she awoke to a sharp pain on the back of her head. She realized she was bleeding profusely.
When she walked into the hallway, she saw a man she knew standing outside the bedroom door. He offered to take her to the hospital.
En route, the man turned onto a gravel road.
The victim said he punched her in the face several times, breaking her nose.
She said he then sexually assaulted her.
Deputies interviewed the suspect, who denied several times having ever had any sexual contact with the victim.
He told deputies the girl asked him to take her home and he dropped her off in front of McDonalds on Southwest Parkway in Wichita Falls.
The victim took deputies to road where she said the attack occurred. Deputies noted that they saw tire impressions consistent with the suspects car and oil drips where the car had been moving, and where it was stopped.
