Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home in the 19300 block of Highland in Tornillo in reference to an aggravated assault in progress. The homeowner and his female acquaintance told deputies they were awakend by noise in the home. When they went to check on the noice they were confronted by three females who had allegedly made entry into the home through a window and proceeded to assault them with a 2x4 piece of wood, according to sheriff's officials.
The male victim sustained a large laceration to his head.
The three alleged assailants were arrested at a traffic stop and identified as Lourdes Renteria, 39, her daughter Mayra Lizzette Lozano, 20, and her 16-year-old daughter, all of the 4500 block of Blanco in El Paso.
The 16-year-old was cited and released to a family member. The two female adults were each charged with two counts of aggravated asssault with a deadly weapon. Both were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and are currently out on bond.
