I'm a little overprotective. We're talking carrying our son on his shoulders makes me nervous. Not throwing him 80 feet in the air or swinging him around like looney toons here. My parents were very overprotective, neurotic/insane. I'm trying not to be that way. If it's something I feel strongly about something I say no.

I've watched this video a couple of times. While it's clearly something I would have torn my husband's head off if he attempted, this guy is amazing. My guess is he's some sort of circus trainer. Seriously. He absorbs all the shock with his body and the transitioning of the child is flawless. He clearly working with inertia rather than against. Really, the only part I didn't like was flipping the child around at the end. I watched a couple of times to see if I could see his hands switch positions, I just couldn't. That and wincing several times hoping he had a great sense of spacing! I really thought it was cool. The baby seemed to love it.

Again, absolutely NOTHING I would have allowed...but I really believe this guy isn't the average Joe.
