FAIRFAX, Va. -- Complaints were filed against a Falls Church woman suspected of abducting a 5-year-old boy from Alexandria Sunday morning.

The boy, Kameron Deveaux Wells, was found in D.C. early Monday morning after an Amber Alert was issued Sunday night. Police initially reported that he was abducted in the area of the 6200 block of Little River Turnpike in Alexandria.

We had an Amber Alert last night for the entire D.C. area. It came across the top of the TV to turn to channel 21 for emergency message. I've never seen that before for anything other than weather emergencies. This little boy was at the grocery store with his grandpa and just vanished. Police were called, store videos show him being led away from the store by an unidentified woman.

The TV thing worked- This crazy lady brought the boy to visit a couple of guys watching football. One of them saw it and realized the boy at his apt was the missing boy and told the other guy. The woman overheard and tried to get away but police were called and they were able to catch up with her.

It'll be interesting to see what comes out about the abductor. One of the news stations reported that she told him that he looked like her little boy. There's not much information about her out yet at all besides her name.

Yes, you are and job well done!
It's nice to "see" a happy ending.

I have Amber Alert ticker tapes for the US and Canada on my website and saw this story come up.

I always dread it when the ticker tape turns yellow for an alert.

Anyone who has a website of some kind can put the ticker tapes for the US and Canada on their site.
It's unintrusive and will not effect the appearance of your site.
If interested, below is the link.

Thanks!

I kind of felt 'involved', because it was local. (although I'm way out in the sticks) When it came on the TV I was worried about the little guy, I was so happy to find out that he was safe and that the alert actually worked to bring him home.

It also came up at the top of my MySpace page and I thought that was really cool too. I didn't know they did that.
