PRINCEVILLE (KHNL) - Two women are dead after drowning near Kauai's North Shore.
A 33-year-old Washington woman and her 38-year-old sister-in-law from Colorado were seen walking along Queen's Bath just before 3 p.m.
The Kauai Fire Department said they were swept out to sea by a large wave.
Firefighters and lifeguars retrieved their bodies and transported them to Borthwick Mortuary.

PRINCEVILLE, Kauai (KHNL) - Kauai police have released the identities of three people who drowned on Kauai Sunday.
Police say 33-year-old Heather Westphal from Washington, D.C. and her sister in law, 39-year-old Tonya Cataldo from Parker, Colorado were walking along Queen's Bath just before 3:00 p.m. when they were swept out to sea by a large wave.
Fire fighters and lifeguards retrieved their bodies.
In a separate incident, 74-year-old Hiroaki Kinjo from Japan drowned while snorkeling at Kauai Sands beach in Kapaa.
He was found unresponsive in the water by a body surfer. Bystanders tried to resuscitate him until medics arrived.
He was pronounced dead at Wilcox Hospital.

The man who died earlier this week as a result of an apparent drowning at Hanakapiai beach has been identified as Klaudiusz Piotr Dragun, 25, from Poland, Kauai Police Department officials said.
The man hiked into the Hanakapiai Valley and decided to jump in the water upon his arrival at the beach on Monday, A strong current swept him out to sea, officials said.
Another hiker notified lifeguards at Ke'e Beach about the 11:56 a.m. incident.
Air-1, firefighters and lifeguards all participated in the rescue, which brought him in from about 150 to 200 yards out from the beach.

KALALAU, Kauai (KHNL) - A 25-year-old visitor from Poland drowned Monday morning while swimming at Hanakapiai Beach.
According to witnesses, the man hiked to Hanakapiai Valley and decided to jump in the water.
Within minutes, he was overcome by the strong current and was swept out to sea.
A witness hiked out and notified lifeguards at Kee Beach at about 11:56 a.m.
Air-one with three rescue specialists on board was dispatched to the scene.
Rescue crews located the victim about 150 to 200 yards from Hanakapiai Beach.
He was taken to Wilcox Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This is the fourth drowning in two days on Kauai.
On Sunday, two women died in the waters at Queen's Bath in Princeville and a man died after snorkeling off a beach in Kapaa.
