PALM BAY, Fla. — A 54-pound sixth-grader is in police custody after he was was handcuffed and arrested at his Central Florida school for throwing sticks at a pregnant teacher and kicking another instructor.
Jason Stewart Lord was charged Thursday with battery on a pregnant woman and battery on a school official, both felonies. Palm Bay Police Department spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez says the 12-year-old was taken to a juvenile detention center where he was expected to stay overnight.
Martinez says the boy also punched the pregnant teacher last week but school officials decided to handle the matter internally at the time.

That boy needs a good ass whuppin....If I'd assaulted a teacher at school at his age...the belt would've been waiting for me when I got home.
And, if they do not nip this in the bud now, it will only get worse. To the point where we will be reading about him in years to come:
You know
Jason Stewart Kills Pregnant wife (like that one?)
Jason Stewart Breaks his 10 week old in 20 places
Jason Stewart Killed his mother and put her in the freezer
You get the point

This kid is seriously acting out...wonder what kind of home life he is growing up in?
Anyhow, I do agree in this case a good swift punishment...maybe not corporal punishment being the best answer but something more like rigorous physical labor to keep him busy and get in physically fit.
Damn, straight my father would have had me digging 8X6 holes to keep my ass out of trouble!

Wow, that sucks ... he's actually punched the pregnant teacher before. I wonder what the school's idea of "handling the manner internally" was. It doesn't seem to have worked.

Hey, I finally got my thanks button back....Yahoooooooooo
I think this kid is mad at the world. I would first off like to know what made him hit the pregnant teacher in the first place. Did she give him a bad grade? Did she make him feel bad that he didn't know something? I would like to know how he treats animals. Does he kick them, throw them down the stairs? I agree this kid needs parents who spank and also show him that they do love him.

Oooooh, this is a bad, bad little boy......
A little Palm Bay boy has been suspended from school 75 times and he's been threatening to murder his teachers since he was in the 2nd grade.
The tiny 12-year-old was arrested for violently attacking his pregnant school counselor and police say he's been trouble for years.
The boy is locked in juvenile detention. A judge will decide Friday whether the 54-pound boy should be kept there. Jason Lord is so small, the detention center doesn't even have clothes that fit him.
"I just really want people to know, he's a good little kid that has problems," said Greg Schwendeman, the boy's attorney.
Schwendeman is trying to get the boy out of jail. Lord is accused of felony battery after kicking and throwing sticks and rocks at staffers from his elementary school as he was trying to leave campus last week.
"Schools today, all too often, they jump the gun and call the police for something that should be handled in house," Schwendeman said.
But school officials told police Lord has been suspended 75 times and has been threatening to kill teachers since second grade. His disciplinary record is 13 pages long.
"That's very troubling, because it shows there is something wrong, when a 2nd grader is making death threats and making death threats throughout his tenure in the school system," said Officer Dan Fisher, Palm Bay Police Department.
Lord's attorney and his mother believe the boy has psychological problems. His mom has already tried anger management treatment, but they claim the school district has done little to help the boy and police seem to agree.
"There should have been some intervention with this boy a long time ago," Fisher said.
Lord is being held for another two weeks. His attorney says that's too long, that he needs psychological treatment, including proper medications immediately.

He needs inhouse psychological treatment. I do not believe that any public school is capable of handling him right now. He needs more intensive treatment than can be handled in a public school environment and with outpatient treatment.

I think it's interesting that they're blaming the public school when he so obviously shouldn't have been there in the first place. Someone with psychological issues that profound simply can't be expected to go mainstream.
75 times???
