One of all time favorite books, written by Stephen King and Peter Straub, is coming to comics.

Seeing how the Dark Tower comics have done (great), I am really excited about this one. Enough so that I am going to re-read the damn thing for the 20th time...and finally get around to reading the sequel, Black House (which I hear is amazing in audio book form)
Anyone else excited? Care?

I've been following both the Dark Tower and The Stand comics from Marvel and they've been great. I'm not too familiar with this novel but if history to indicative of future comic book projects based on King's novels this should be good as well.
Now if only he'd do a regular Creepshow comic....

I just purchased the first Dark Tower comic book. Haven't really read it yet, but the artwork is fantastic! And now I find out The Stand has made it to comic books? Damn, I gotta get busy.
I used to be a comic freak, but stopped collecting when the kids were born...priorities and such. My MAD Magazine collection was awesome. What I wouldn't give to have those back.

I just finished up The Talisman shortly before Thanksgiving, now I'm reading Black House. There has been talk for YEARS about The Talisman being adapted into a mini-series, and there was recent buzz about it coming out for TNT next summer. I dunno if any of that is still true though.

I fell in love with The Talisman and Black House years ago. I'm absolutely dying with pure, unadulterated joy (by the way, ever heard of adulterated joy?) to think that they're finally making this into a graphic novel. I have a feeling it will be very successful.

I'm about halfway through with Black House, and I'm enjoying it a lot. The only faults I really have, is that you never get the feeling Jack is special until about halfway through the book, there is a moment that makes him have the charm he had in The Talisman, and that Stephen King makes deus ex machina plot devices to help out his characters, making it a bit too simple for them to figure out what it is they are supposed to be doing. The latter part is something that bugs me about most of his books in general though.
