What in the world!?

First, Bizarre Creations, the makers of the best 360 racing game Project Gotham Racing, announce that they are going independent to develop for other platforms and now Bungie, the makers of Halo have announced that stockholders have bought the company name back from Microsoft and are going independent.

These are THE two biggest development houses for Microsoft. Why would they jump ship? Are they going to develop for the lowly Wii? Surely they don't see a market in the woeful sales of PS3's! This is craziness. A RARE moment, if you will.

Look for an announcement around October 12th, the same date you might hear about ANOTHER PS3 SKU!!! Dear lord, consoles are getting to be more confusing than PC's. This one might be a 40GB PS3 priced at $399, what some consider to be the magical point to turn around their lagging sales.

Well I can't see Bungie bailing due to lack of sales, Halo always seems to fly off the shelves. I imagine it has more to do with expanding, and getting a bigger piece of the action. The more they branch out, the more money they can bring in. I'm pulling this all directly from ass.

Weird. Your post smells like flowers.

I assume we will see Halo 4 done by a new company, and wouldn't surprise me to see them make the series even better. Maybe even something that I would enjoy playing.

Now lets hope that Bungie goes off and makes Myth 3 and Marathon 2...

I would KILL for another Myth game.

Remember seeing that terrain deformation for the first time? Sure, Bullfrog did it before with Magic Carpet, and Sim City had you moving blocks of Earth around... but something about the way the land would deform in the Myth game that really wowed me.
