Vallejo -- Police in Vallejo are searching for a 10-year-old boy who disappeared from his elementary school classroom after leaving to use the restroom.

Harold Williams, who attends Dan Mini Elementary School in Vallejo, was last seen at 11:20 a.m. today when he left the classroom. He also failed to return to the hotel where his family is living, Vallejo police said. The boy's father told police he is not sure his son could even find the hotel.

Family members said they don't know where else the boy would go. School officials and his parents said it is out of character for the boy to run off.

Harold is black, about 4'10", with black hair and brown eyes, and weighs about 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray and blue, long-sleeved jogging suit.

Anyone with information should contact the Vallejo Police Department at (707) 552-3285.

Harold Williams, 10, a fourth-grader at Dan Mini Elementary School in Vallejo, was found safe Wednesday night and reunited with his family hours after going missing, police officials said.

The boy was found in Napa County, just north of where the school is located on Lorenzo Drive, said Vallejo police spokesman Lt. Eric Mortenson.

Williams evidently wandered away from school at about 11:20 a.m. after his teacher excused him from class to go to the restroom, Mortenson said.

A parent of another student at Dan Mini told police she saw Williams walking along Rollen Drive 20 minutes after he was reported missing and did not report anything wrong with him, Mortenson said.

Williams is presumed to have walked to a friend's house and simply lost track of time, Mortenson said.

District officials called police about an hour after Williams went missing to assist with the search, district spokes-man Jason Hodge said .

The school spoke to Williams' father, who said his son hadn't come back to the hotel where his family is staying. School staff also checked other nearby homes and businesses, but found no sign of the boy.

Williams has two siblings at the school, Hodge said.

He's a new student in the district this year and a "good kid," Hodge said.
