I am curious what he was doing with the baby? Family friend? Kinda weird.
WINSTON-SALEM - A 19-year-old man police said injured a 2-year-old boy was charged with felony child abuse.
On Monday at 2:04 p.m., Winston-Salem police officers were sent to 4715 Leinbach Drive to help emergency medical services regarding a report of an injured child.
They found a child, who was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center with injuries consistent with child abuse, police said.
The victim, whose name had not been released, suffered head trauma and bleeding in the brain. He remained in critical condition Wednesday.
Detectives charged Marcus Bradley Holt, of 4715 Leinbach Drive, with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.
He is a family friend and is not related to the victim, police said.
He was being held in the Forsyth County jail under a $350,000 bond.
His court date is Oct. 17.
