Well, my wife and I are getting settled in our new home near Boone, NC. As soon as we get here, the local university, with its Div I-AA football team, went to Michigan and beat the 5th-ranked Div I-A team Wolverines. It is all they are talking about on Sportscenter for the past 3 days, and hailed as the greatest upset in football history.

It was an amazing game. We listened to it on the radio and went absolutely bonkers as the winning fieldgoal was blocked to seal the game for ASU. This is probably the biggest thing to ever happen in these parts. The town basically shut down for the weekend, and bars were turning people away as they filled to capacity, and the revelry moved to the streets.

Fortune sure does seem to follow me closely. Must have something to do with being a non-superstitious atheist. God loves us the most.

BTW, No doubt the players(besides your precence in the area) were inspired by their universitie's recruitment video (http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1702065/) it is HOT HOT HOT!

222-0!!

Fascinating, but what does the most lopsided game in history have to do with the biggest upset in history? I could see the connection if Cumberland had won with its 14 total players...

Dop, I just showed my wife that video and she is already familiar with it. It is a running joke on campus, and one of their interns is already walking around singing "HOT HOT HOT".

I like how the song has a guitar solo, sax solo and keyboard solo. The black sounding singer that does nothing but OhhhhhOHHHHHHhhhhhOHHHHHohhhhhhh at the end is like icing on the cake.

I love the lyrics as well...Mountaineers? Proud as a peacock? Nice.

No connection. Just some random trivia.
