Obama, while not condemning Carter, has criticized the ex-president’s decision to meet with Hamas. On Wednesday night he told a group of Jewish leaders that “Hamas is not a state; Hamas is a terrorist organization.”
“We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction,” Obama said. “We should only sit down with Hamas if they renounce terrorism, recognize Israel’s right to exist and abide by past agreements.”
Maybe we should try dipolmacy instead of the Bush Doctrine. Btw, I used a conservative site.
Okay and now instead of just posting shit, let's have discussion.
Do you think it is a bad thing that a candidate might possibly not evoke enough stupid hatred from a group known to be extremely terroristic that they could possibly has serious peace talks with them? What is so bad about that?
Do you think it's "straight politics" that McCain and his campaign have focused on twisted half truths?

Honestly Polis, I don't really feel like discussing right now. I just don't. If there is a rule somewhere that I have to discuss not just post, sorry for breaking it. Not being sarcastic just saying. :)

I will say this, if Bin Laden supported Obama, do you think that is a bad thing?
Hamas to Israeli people is like Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. They fund and support suicide bombers who get on buses or go into clubs and blow up innocent people. I don't want them to like me. I don't want them to view my President as someone sympathetic to their cause.
Now tear this apart, say we should have a President who can "talk" to terrorists and see their side. I say they don't really have a side to see.

You can't help who likes you. Besides, I'm not opposed to having a leader who is viewed favorably by questionable organizations. Gives us one less reason to be targeted and will provide us some leverage during diplomatic efforts.
It's all about networking.

I agree with you athena, I think it would be beneficial to have a leader that people don't feel like ripping his head off and setting on fire as a display.

I break rules all the time...I think you know that..., but I just rather have you say something about what your posting so I can get a better understanding on your take of it, because you say nothing, and leaves me wondering if you know what you're reading or why you think it's important.
btw, i finally read the rules. heh..and yeah...it basically said what i was wanting..
Do Not Post Links with No Content
Do not post a link to an event to start a discussion unless you plan on offering content. Talk about what you are linking to, explain what you agree or disagree with, like or dislike. It only takes a few sentences and helps the reader understand what you want them to read, and what you want to discuss in particular
Hopefully soon, you'll be open to discuss this.

I recommended my apartment complex to another nurse. I also advised her NOT to use me as a reference. The manager caught me with a cat I sneaked in (Well, somebody had SEALED the kitten inside a dishwasher that was thrown out). But, I think the manager was REALLY pissed off about it. So, I thought it better that I did NOT fete her for the apartment.
It's sort of the same thing as Hamas. If their leader REALLY wanted Obama elected common sense would dictate that he NOT recommend Obama. So, maybe he didn't like Obama after all.:decision:

This could actually be considered as a possible motive why he did that. OR maybe he has the mentality that his organization (whom by the way not only bomb, but build schools, hospitals, and provide essentially living supplies of those in palestine) is considered a big enough factor to be dealt and saying that obama would be someone he supports, meaning someone he is willing to peacefully sit down with, would sway people to think, hey obama can make these fuckers stop maybe... so let's vote for obama!
i think we need to put on our terrorist thinking caps and think of other possible reasons why he publically gave obaman praise.
