A mother and son both landed in Gaston County Jail on charges that they assaulted one another with a baseball bat Wednesday.
Cynthia Franklin Buchanon, 49, allegedly hit her son with a baseball bat and then ran into him with a truck, according to an arrest warrant.
Her son, Ronald Zachary Buchanon, 23, allegedly used to bat to hit his mother in the head, according to an arrest warrant.
Both were charged with assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Gaston County Jail. Ronald Buchanon has a $1,500 bond, while his mother has a $500 bond.
