MURRIETA, Calif. -- A former Vista Murrieta High School English teacher on Friday admitted having sex with an underage girl at her school and pleaded guilty to 10 counts of oral copulation.

Crissy Torcella Hisey, 28, was a 10th grade English teacher who began teaching at the school in 2004, according to school district officials.

She was arrested May 1, after the inappropriate sexual relationship between the girl and the teacher came to light, said Murrieta police Sgt. Jim Ganley.

Authorities did not say whether Hisey was the girl's teacher.

She immediately submitted her resignation after the relationship was revealed, district spokeswoman Karen Parris said.

Under a plea agreement, Superior Court Judge John M. Monterosso dismissed a charge of distribution or exhibition of lewd material to a minor and allowed Hisey to remain free on $25,000 bail.

She is expected to receive 120 days in jail when she is sentenced Oct. 3.

Not really as different as some would think though, unfortunately.

Even more unfortunately, in my experience, the accountability level for female teachers who victimize students is not held to the same standard as when male teachers do the same. With a couple that I am personally familiar with - even more so when female students were the victims, although I believe this may be changing in more recent years (thankfully).

A recent female teacher (age 50, going through a divorce, with children of her own) that victimized a female student (age 15) was Donita Brady, who I posted a thread on and took some heat from a personal friend - who later came back to retract at least a portion of their original post.

Really? I have never heard of that before (female on female abuse, that is). But I am new to following all of this stuff. I will go read your old thread. Thanks for the heads up!

I do think women who victimize students are just as bad as men. I think the argument is that male teenagers, with their hormones going crazy, don't mind the attention they get. That may be the case sometimes, but it doesn't deflect from the fact that these women are sick in the head and it could lead to other, much worse offenses.

That's a worthless sentence.
Waste of the tax payers money.

She'll be back at it again.
