Something made James Rosenberg, 20, angry enough to climb behind the wheel of his pickup truck and chase a family of four into their home.
Rosenberg also took out his anger by smashing the pickup, and then a tractor-trailer, into the family's house while they were inside, and by attempting to run the tractor-trailer over two police officers who tried to stop the fracas.
The incident reportedly began when Rosenberg had a disagreement with Brian Kitelinger, who has a home on the same property where Rosenberg lives.
At some time during the evening, Rosenberg contacted Kitelinger and said that he and his fiancee "were both (expletive) dead!".
Rosenberg's anger allegedly escalated to the point that he climbed into a 1994 Ford F-150 pickup truck and tried to run over Kitelinger.
Rosenberg then slammed the pickup truck into the garage several times before driving away and returning behind the wheel of a 1985 tractor-trailer, which he also drove into the garage door.
The tractor-trailer smashed through the garage door and into a 1997 Pontiac Grand-Am parked inside. The car was pushed forward into the stove, which was knocked partially through the wall and into the living room.
Kitelinger, his fiancee and the children were inside the house at the time.
The incident escalated after two police officers arrived on the scene.
Rosenberg refused to get out of the tractor-trailer when the officer ordered him to do so and instead drove the truck at the officer almost hitting him.
Rosenberg then drove the tractor-trailer at the other officer, who sped his patrol car out of the way.
Rosenberg was taken into custody.
The motive for Rosenberg's attack on Brian Kitelinger, his fiancee and his fiancee's two children is unknown. They escaped injury in the incident.
