The disturbing murder of a 25-year-old Bonita Springs woman, Tia Poklemba, has deputies searching for the killer who left her broken body lying on a dead-end San Carlos Park road early Friday morning.

Tia Poklemba was found on Pioneer Road around 2:30 a.m. by a newspaper carrier for The News-Press.

News of Poklemba’s death had her family holed up in their Bonita Springs home on East Brook Drive and neighbors in disbelief.

“She was just a real sweet girl,” said neighbor John Sciullo. “A sweetheart. Very nice.”

Frank Roberts and his nephew found Poklemba sitting upright and bloodied in the middle of the road as the delivery van first approached, according to his account on news-press.com. Poklemba’s dress was pulled up around her waist, he said, and her top was pulled down.

She had serious scrapes and bruises, Roberts said. One of her ears was missing, he told the paper, and she had a large hole in her shoulder.

When he asked who she had been with, her only response — and the only words she spoke to him, he said — was “with friends.”

He said she started violently shaking and died a short time later.

This is a horrible death and a real mystery. I think it's pretty cold that her former employers wouldn't even comment on her being dead.

This is seriously messed up. Some news sites have many pictures of her and friends. After reading the witness information, and given she had just broken up with her ex, is it possible that she said "boyfriend" instead of "my friends"?
So incredibly sad.

That was my initial thought when I saw the Tia pics, I am so familar with the Caylee case, that well, I had to hunt the Casey pic down. I compared and am generally great with faces.
The girl on the end, the left end, looks exactly like Tia (in the Casey pic). Either that or I am going to have to start signing in KrazyKomak...:doh:

I think they look REALLY close, but the jawline is off. The girl in the Casey pic has a more rounded face, more cheek, less prominent chin, than Tia does.

could just be the quality of the pic, though.

Side-by-side. I think they are different. Tia has a very distinct chin and I really don't think that Caylee's friend's is like that. Very good thinking though Komak!

The State Attorney’s Office has issued the warrant in connection with the killing of Tia Poklemba.

Luis Gonzalez, 22, is wanted on a charge of leaving the scene of a vehicle accident involving a fatality. He hasn’t been charged with murder in her death. Gonzalez is believed to have left the Lee County area.

Detectives began to establish Gonzalez’s connection with Poklemba after finding a video from the bar where Poklemba was last seen.

After viewing the video, detectives singled out a “person of interest” who they said was seen leaving the bar with Poklemba.

That person, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, of medium build, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches, later was connected to a tan Cadillac CTS.

The car subsequently was seen at a gas station “at a time consistent with Poklemba’s timeline,”. After media publicized pictures of the car and the person of interest, investigators received a tip that led to Gonzalez.

A tan Cadillac CTS is registered to Gonzalez’s name.

Investigators also say Gonzalez resembles the “person of interest” seen in videos inside the Tiki Bar.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gonzalez is asked to call Detective Mike Carr at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 477-1000 or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 dollars, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

The "man of interest" is one Luis (or Louise) Gonzalez. He is 22 years old. They have a video of him in the bar that night. Apparently Tia left the bar with him, in his gold late model Cadillac (SRS?). It is also stated that she had previously dated him. There was a picture online of his car. They later found the car but he has not, to the best of my knowledge, been found.
I think that it is pretty apparent that he murdered her. Maybe jealousy? Or, as someone brought up in another article online, how did he afford that Cadillac? Drug dealer maybe. Felt she knew too much. All speculation, of course.
But I still believe that he murdered her. She did not live near where she was found. Neither did he. He pushed her out of the car, ran over her (or had it preplanned and someone else ran over her). Then he (or them) left her to die. There was the report that a truck was seen leaving the area by the men who found her.
May God hold her in his loving arms forever. And may they catch and deal well with her murderer (s).
