AMARILLO --- Two people are now in jail and may be facing charges for several counts of child abuse in Amarillo. They were taken into custody last week. A 4-year-old girl had been at the home of 22-year-old Terry Britt Jr. and 23-year-old Amanda Navarrette. The girl's mother called police when the little girl came back with facial injuries. Both face charges of injury to a child with serious bodily injury.

Two suspects have been charged with abuse of a four year old child.
22-year old Terry Britt Junior is charged with three counts of injury to a child with serious bodily injury.
The second suspect is Amanda Navarette. The 23-year old is charged with one count of injury to a child.
Both are in custody at the Randall County Sheriff's Office. Police say the mother of the four year old called officers after her child came home with bruises, swelling and possible burns.
The child was taken to an Amarillo hospital for treatment.
