Police search for missing child's family



The Kannapolis Police Department responded to the 700 block of Washington Lane this morning at about 10:30 a.m. Officers located a 3 year old, black female, approximately 3 feet tall, approximately 35 lbs. wearing a pink top and blue jean skirt.
The little girl states her name is Vera.

The Kannapolis Police Department requests assistance in locating the child's family.

Officer Drake of the Kannapolis Police Department is handling the case and can be reached at 704-920-4107.

SO many questions. Why did the police go there in the first place? Could teh family have left for the day in a hurry and forgotten the little one? So weird....

How in the hell do you forget a little one!?!?!? We have a 12, 9, and two 7 year olds now and we do a damn head count!!!! Even if you didnt get her in the car, why the hell would you not realize when you talked to her SHE WASN'T IN THE FUCK'N CAR!?!?!?!? People continue to AMAZE ME.....

I wonder if "Mom" and/or "Dad" left her the night before while she was sleeping. (party, drinking, drugs and the like.)
