A West Price Hill mother will be in court this afternoon, facing charges of putting her five children in danger by living with a convicted sex offender, in a filthy house.
35 year old Mary Perkins faces five counts of child endangerment.
Court documents say Perkins and her children, ages 13, 10, 9 , 5, and 4, were living with 34 year old James Miller, a tier two convicted sex offender, in a home on Gilsey Avenue. Miller was convicted in 2006 for unlawful sexual contact with a minor, involving a young girl.
The police report says the home was filled with feces, urine, trash, and insects. Officers also found exposed nails, a syrine, knives laying where children could reach them, and ten dogs and cats who were not receiving proper care. In addition, exits and stairs in the home where blocked by objects.
