A woman who allegedly stabbed her ex-boyfriend did so with the victim's pocket knife.

Abraham Ontiveros, 22, was found dead shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday. Priscilla Gonzalez, 18, was jailed later the same day and charged with murder in connection with the death.

Gonzalez had gone to Ontiveros' apartment late Wednesday while he was having a get-together with friends, including his new girlfriend. She argued with Ontiveros at his apartment about his new girlfriend.

Gonzalez left the apartment but returned to continue the argument about 1 a.m. Thursday - after the gathering ended and the guests had left the apartment.

She said the argument escalated into a "physical confrontation." Gonzalez took a pocket knife out of Ontiveros' hand, pushed him on a couch and stabbed Ontiveros multiple times in the neck. Ontiveros later died of his injuries.

Although the homicide had signs of a "crime of passion," a crime motivated by jealousy or heartbreak, a police spokesman refused to describe it as such.

Gonzalez told reporters Thursday that she loved Ontiveros "with all my heart," and admitted stabbing him but "I didn't kill him."

A Central El Paso man who was found dead in his apartment July 24 was stabbed 43 times, according to an autopsy report released Wednesday by the El Paso County Medical Examiner.
Abraham Ontiveros, 22, was stabbed in his apartment in the 300 block of East Schuster. Priscilla Gonzalez, 18, was jailed later the same day and charged with murder in connection with the death.

The autopsy report, which was completed by Dr. Juan Contin, states that Ontiveros suffered at least 43 stab wounds, including wounds through his earlobes, chest, hand and buttocks, and multiple lacerations and blunt force injuries.

Blood and urine samples taken from Ontiveros' body tested negative for drugs and alcohol, according to the report.

In the report, Contin wrote that Ontiveros died from blood loss due to multiple stab wounds, and that only one stab wound to Ontiveros' chest was "immediately fatal."

According to an arrest affidavit, Gonzalez, who once dated Ontiveros, told police that she had previously argued with him at his apartment about his new girlfriend during a get-together at Ontiveros' apartment.
