Bail for a Kalispell teen charged with murdering a 67-year-old man at a campground southeast of Libby was set at $250,000 Thursday during an initial appearance in Lincoln County Justice Court.
Heather Michelle Henson, 19, is facing a charge of deliberate homicide. She is accused of using a rifle and a .22-caliber pistol to shoot Larry M. Kingsley approximately 16 times after a confrontation over sex, according to investigative reports.
Drugs and alcohol were involved.
Henson told investigators she met Kingsley on July 8 at a bar in Libby, where Henson agreed to accept $2,300 to help launch her career as a writer. But when Henson lost the money, Kingsley implied she would have to repay him with sex.
Henson and her boyfriend, Stephen Michael Thomas, 17, of Kalispell went with Kingsley to his campsite on Sylvan Lake, located about 30 miles southeast of Libby in the Kootenai National Forest.
Henson said she had sex with Kingsley, but that over the course of several days he became increasingly jealous of Thomas. Henson said she awoke one morning to see Kingsley holding a knife to Thomas’ throat because she “belonged” to Kingsley now.
On the night of July 12, Henson told authorities she was firing a rifle into the air but then turned the weapon on Kingsley and loosed a round at his head. Kingsley, who was sitting in a chair by the campfire, didn’t open his eyes, so Henson aimed at his chest and began firing again.
Thomas also shot at Kingsley, according to Henson.
Henson said she believed her life was in danger and that Kingsley would have killed her if she hadn’t shot him.
After the shooting, Henson and Thomas returned to Kalispell and left a message with a family member saying they had just killed a man. The family member notified authorities, who found Kingsley’s body early on the morning of July 13.
Thomas is charged with deliberate homicide, tampering with physical evidence, and felony theft. Thomas will be tried as an adult in Lincoln County District Court, Lincoln County Attorney Bernard Cassidy said.
Henson also could face additional charges, Cassidy said.

That was the best story she could come up with? She should have said "Ize a ho".
Wonder why she would rather be branded a murderer than a meth-head whore.

This one is in my backyard yall. Crazazy.
I haven't found out much more than was in the article, except that the victim had a history of waving guns, threatening people and being generally weird and scary. He was from New York and had been wandering the forest campgrounds in the area for a couple of months.
No real info on the suspects is coming out yet.
Here is a pic of her in court

Well then Mr. Stephen Thomas, enlighten me. What is a reason to kill a man? Why not just leave. I am sure he slept sometime. Especially if you guys are potheads and not meth heads. You killed someone. If you had the gun, why not use it to get away? You killed someone. Either way. KILLED!!!! Get it. He is no longer alive. But why don't you give me more info. Please, I really want to know the 'truth'
Sincerely,
Me

I was almost convinced that we were all wrong here, but the lack of punctuation really made it confusing. I give you +1 for spelling well but here is a simple chart to aid your next endeavor at dragging up an article that no one particularly cared for and had completely forgotten about 3 years ago.

Heather shot Larry Kingsley, 16 times, 16 times!! That's supposed to be in self-defense? I have to tell ya, two shots would've disabled Kingsley enough for both, Heather and Stephen, to get away from him to safety. 16 shots, that actually hit the target, well, that's a killing in my opinion, a killing for something other than bodily threat, probably something that Kingsley had in his possession. Kingsleys family has told that he had $30,000.00 cash on him, wonder where it went? And, the autopsy showed that Kingsley was NOT drunk, the way it was claimed. And we all know some folks that need killing, for example, child molesters, child abusers, child killers and rapists, but that is against the law, I can pray that these types of offenders are mauled by a Grizzly and eaten alive, or a hungry alligator on the loose comes across their path. Or a huge boulder falls from a mountain and crushes them. But, kill the offender, myself? No, unless it was a child, that I witnessed being harmed, even then I wouldn't shoot them 16 times! I might if it was a BB gun, then I would aim for the eyes.
It appears a Judge likely believed her story, though.

Yes, Stephen, we ARE quite the group here. You probably won't find a better group of fantastic misfits. One thing we all have in common: We don't like to see innocent people get killed/hurt/broken/shot/stabbed/starved/microwaved/drowned/waterboarded....the list could go on. On the flip side, we have no problem when The Fates step in and punish someone who deserves it. So before you go getting all defensive and offend a group of people whose collective wit is a million times greater than yours, I suggest you really think about what and whom you are defending.:thefinger:

Rude? Maybe. But not stupid.
You know what's stupid?
1. Committing murder and/or helping to commit said murder.
2. Digging up a dinosaur of a thread for lack of anything else to do.
Stop googling, please. If you absolutely cannot stop yourself from googling, please check your stupid at the door.
Sincerely,
pg
