INDIANAPOLIS -- A man brutally beat his new bride in their home Monday, killing her, police said.

The body of Melissa Parksey, 40, was found in her garage in the 3100 block of Auburn Road at about 9:30 p.m.

Police said Calvin Foster, 37, was arrested on a murder charge after police found and interviewed him following the discovery of the body.

Foster and Parksey had recently been married.

Police said Parksey died from blunt force trauma to the head.
