Jatten Heinen. 20, was charged in October with molesting or trying to molest four girls while working at the Fargo YMCA in the summer of 2007. Now he has been charged with molesting another young child sometime between September 2005 and December 2006 while working at another daycare.
Originally he was accused of touching a 7yr old girl’s vaginal area while they were riding a bus to YMCA swimming lessons. Heinen was a worker with the Fargo-Moorhead Family YMCA when the incident is alleged to have occurred in July of 2007. He had worked at the there for about a year and had passed a background check before being hired.

Eventually 3 additional girls ages 6-8 from the "Y" came forward and his charges were amended to include four counts of felony gross sexual imposition and one count of attempted gross sexual imposition. He is accused of touching the children either on a bus or while seated during "chill time" at the YMCA daycare in Fargo.

Of course he pleaded not guilty and was released on $50,000 bail and was ordered to have no contact with children. He also owns a photography business... but when he agreed to photograph a 6yr old, the judge refused to revoke his bail. (He claims another photographer would have taken the pictures... yeah, I believe that... NOT)

Now another child has come forward. He's accused of sexually assulting a 3yr old while employed at another Fargo daycare the year before he worked at the "Y". THe "Stay and Play" daycare is no longer in business. If I remember correctly, it was a drop-in center where parents could take kids while they shopped or ran errands.

Does no one find it odd that a 20yr old guy would want to work at a daycare? Our unemployment rate here is very low and there are a ton of jobs to choose from. Not all men are molesters, but I have heebie-jeebies (founded or not) about the ones that want to work around little kids in a daycare setting.
I'm betting there are more victims that haven't come forward... I hope they do.
