Dog sex videos lead to bestiality charges against Tulsa couple

Donald Roy Seigfried, 55 and Diane Whalen, 54, were charged with the crime, which deals with bestiality, after deputies discovered dozens of videos of Whalen engaging in sex acts with three dogs, Captain John Bowman said.

Authorities were notified of the tapes, after one of the woman's relatives accidentally stumbled on one of the movies and then alerted the sheriff's department.

Authorities initially believed the tapes were being produced for commercial distribution, but now believe they were strictly for personal use.

The tapes, along with three dogs, a Labrador, a blue heeler and a mixed breed were also taken into custody and Bowman said his office is recommending that they be taken away from the suspects and be put down.

"To me, the biggest tragedy in the whole thing is that someone trained dogs do something against their nature, and those dogs may have to pay the ultimate price for the selfishness of their owners.

Two Tulsa county residents face charges involving animals and sex. They are accused of crimes against nature.

The suspects are 55-year old Donald Seigfried and 54-year old Diane Whalen. Deputies say they found dozens of pornographic d-v-d's and video tapes.

The suspects were actually turned in by a relative, the woman's grown son went to the house, found one of the tapes, and was as stunned as anyone else, before deciding to call the cops.

You can look as hard as you want, but there's nothing out of the ordinary on the outside of the house which would clue you in to what was found inside.

“It was a jaw dropper to every one here.”

Captain John Bowman of the Tulsa county sheriff's office, uncovering 193 dvd's and 67 vhs tapes of a 54 year-old woman allegedly having sex with dogs.

“Three dogs, one appeared to be a mixed breed, one was a blue heeler, and one was a Labrador.”

The acts were allegedly taped by her 55 year-old male companion. both of them face felony charges.

“Crime against nature, it's a long involved crime but essentially deals with bestiality.”

At the Humane Society of Tulsa they've seen just about every conceivable crime against animals, just about.

“I've never had experience with this I've never even read about anything experience on the animal side with anything like this.”said Hank Johnson with the Tulsa Humane Society.

The dogs have been taken to the shelter, where authorities are recommending they be put down.

“The dogs have been taught to rape and have sex with women, the last dog that we brought in I know that it was sexually aggressive to the vet's assistant.”

A crime against two natures, of human sensibilities, and animals who end up paying with their lives.

“ Unfortunately if the behavior has been that repetitive and that bad it could be a sad situation.”

Fortunately, no children lived in the home or were exposed to the material. as for bestiality authorities say its an extremely rare crime. Captain Bowman recalling just one other case in his 30 years of experience.

Wow I did not read the part about them being taught to rape. I am guessing they were not neutered. That could have helped take that mounting thing away and well training could have helped.

At the same time playing devils advocate we have so many pets out here needing help and needing homes that well one thing taught as a rescuer was you can never save them all and it is never you the person who rescued's fault. Sadly many have to be put down.
It is so sad that these dogs were used for her sick fun and as said now have to pay the ultimate price.


Hmm while awaiting sentencing can we lock them in a small room and let them be used as sex toys by their fellow inmates.

Dog sex tapes lead to Tulsa arrest, charges

TULSA — While dog-sitting for his mother earlier this month, Bryan Whalen discovered video recordings of his mother and two other people engaging in sex acts with three dogs, according to an affidavit filed Monday in Tulsa County.
Authorities have charged Diane Whalen, 54, and Donald Roy Seigfried, 55, with crimes against nature, a felony that includes bestiality, said Capt. John Bowman of the Tulsa County sheriff's office.

Seigfried was arrested and released Tuesday on $10,000 bail. Bowman said Whalen had not been arrested, but authorities were in contact with her lawyer.

Bryan Whalen was feeding and taking care of his mother's dogs when he stumbled on the tapes June 1 and then turned them over to the sheriff's office, according to the affidavit. Diane Whalen was in the hospital at the time, according to the document. She had complained of possible food poisoning, but the illness turned out to be appendicitis, which required surgery, the court record says.

Bryan Whalen said he and his girlfriend found the tapes in a storage case while he was looking for medications that his mother's doctor had requested, the affidavit says.

It appears as though Diane Whalen was attempting to sell the videos over the Internet, according to the affidavit.

Bryan Whalen turned in more than 200 pieces of evidence from the home. After subsequent searchers of the home, authorities found 193 CD-ROMs and DVDs, 67 VHS tapes, 12 cassette tapes, two floppy discs, two computer flash drives and one photo album showing the sex acts, according to the document. Bryan Whalen also turned in a tripod and video lighting equipment, and it appears the videos were shot at Diane Whalen's home, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit says Diane Whalen is shown on the tapes engaging in sexual acts with dogs.

The affidavit alleges Diane Whalen was selling the videos through e-mails and instant messages.

Two members of the Whalen family contacted Wednesday declined to comment for this story.

A mixed breed and a Labrador, formerly owned by Diane Sue Whalen of Tulsa County, have been accepted by the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, said Barbara Williamson, spokeswoman for the animal sanctuary.

The dogs - named Lucky and Buddy - will be taken to the no-kill sanctuary next month.

I can understand the son looking for some meds for his mom but they obviously weren't in a video tape. What prompted him to view the tape that was in a storage case? I'm curious and I'll bet he had at least some idea of what was going on.

If the dogs were that sexually aggressive, were they hitting on the son's girlfriend and did that tip them off? It just makes no sense that the son "stumbled" on the evidence.
