I've been lurking here for about a year, I finally signed up in March..? SoUncool referred me to her "introduce self" blurb, and I completely forgot that I didn't do my own. Been here for so long, that I'm not used to typing much...just mostly sitting back and watching/reading.
I'm 24 and my name is Abby Catherine (yes that's my full first name...people call me Abby though). (Yeah, don't get on me about that...most people can't tell my age anyways) I'm an avid gamer, when I feel like it. Latest obsession is WoW in my household. Been playing that forever, but got bored of it myself. (Too many little kids hitting on me when they realized I'm /gasp a girl.)
I've been married 8 years to my wonderful husband named Jeff. (I call him Jiffy...sometimes I throw out an occassional Jiffy Lube, cause to me that is just hysterical) He is active Army. Has been deployed twice now, 15 months a piece. He attended West Point (I'm originally from Jersey). I am personally NOW a stay at home mom. I did use to work for a computer company, but when he re-enlisted I realized...kids come first.
I have a daughter named Mackenzie Dakota. She just turned 2 yesterday. She's a crazy child. Just like her father really. I'm constantly afk chasing after her to get her away from all the insane things she tries to play with (scissors, glue, markers...you name it, I've had to hide it all from her - child locks are my savior!). She also has ZERO (and I mean ZERO) fear of heights because of Daddy - they get pretty wild when they play together. So, she is constantly climbing things and trying to "fly", thank god she's never actually tried to fly without me being around. She is also in that temper tantrum stage, once again...requires a lot of my time, so I don't really get to pay attention to online stuff a lot and it takes me a while to respond to things.
I am currently pregnant with our 2nd daughter. I'm going to name her Peyton Skye (yeah, Morbid will prolly call this a stripper's name). My due date (surprisingly enough) was yesterday, my daughter's bday. So anyday now. I'm hoping this daughter turns out more like me than like Daddy. lol
We currently live in WA. The religious, stuffy, hell WA. I hate this place honestly. Lots of protests, lots of pedophiles, and lots of useless opinions from ignorant people.
Like SoUncool, I came here basically when I was looking for information on pedophiles to protect my children. My husband says this is my downfall. It's actually really nice to have a place to go to, to feed my obsession with wanting to know what the hell is wrong with people/the world. Hell half the time you guys have more information than the local news, and it's not really biased...since you all list the facts. I figured, I'd rather be informed and KNOW what is going on...rather than to pretend to be ignorant and have something happen to MY family.
I have an opinion about everything, and honestly this is a great place for me to express my opinions without having to nag hubby with them. I am very obsessed with anything law related, and he hates to watch even the normal news with me. So to have a place to go to where people actually give a crap about the world...is like a safe haven for me.
I guess that does it...sooo albeit a little late in the game...HI!
