A 22-year-old Queen Creek man was arrested Tuesday by Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies after he admitted to molesting a 9-year-old girl.
Joseph Manuel Ramirez was arrested after deputies were called to a domestic violence situation, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
The 22-year-old had allegedly pushed his grandmother and threatened to hit his mother.
According to court documents made available Wednesday, the suspect's mother told deputies that a 9-year-old relative told her that Ramirez molested her, and made her touch his penis.
When deputies interviewed Ramirez, he admitted to having her masturbate him.
He also admitted to touching her vagina and attempting sexual intercourse with her, according to the documents.
The girl said it hurt, but not enough to scream.
Deputies said they had evidence Ramirez had victimized the child from three to five days before his arrest.
The incidents happened at a home near Sossaman and Queen Creek roads.
According to the court document, he said he was sorry and wrote a letter of apology to the girl.
Ramirez was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges of child molestation, sexual conduct with a minor, assault domestic violence, and threatening domestic violence.
